X-Files – I Want To Believe – how I wanted to love it…

What was Chris Carter thinking?  And how come no one pointed out that the whole script was totally average.  

Of all the rich sci-fi topics the X-Files has covered in its years, it could have had conspiracies, aliens, monsters, ghosts, but oh, no.  What did they do?  Give us a run-of-the-mill FBI chase serial killer flick.  

Don't get me wrong, if it had been any other film, it would have been okay, but talk about not realising its full potential.  I'm now off to watch "The Unopened File" and remember X the way it should be.
