Massive price 'rise' on this issue.  I am waiting for the other issues 338 onwards, but the bundled reprint has shrunk in szie and is only 12 pages.

It is more like an insert than the previous reprints., something that would have been a free promotional insert 30-40 years ago.

I have never considered the reprints worth having - I have a complete set - but this seems like a near phase out unless it is reversed in future issues.
Hawk The Slayer isn’t reprint - it’s new material.

Never seen the film, enjoying the comic though!
Same here. I’d never even heard of the film but that doesn’t impact on enjoying this, not one bit.

In fact the recap chapter at the start adds something to the experience because even without seeing it, you understand there’s a back story to it.

I’ve got to mention Lawless. Again.

There are barely words for how good this strip is. Worth the entire cost of the Meg just on its own.

So confident is Lawless now, that it can run an entire episode without its lead character and it still doesn’t miss a beat. Just shows how strongly the town and its wide range of characters has been built over the years.

And the artwork is just sublime.

It’s the best thing in the Meg and Prog in recent times and I simply can’t praise it highly enough.

There are great strips in both publications -and then there is Lawless, in a class of its own.

Lawless made me feel old, in the sense I don’t remember how we got to this point. And I really love this strip. When did Lawson quit? I assume this will eventually shift back to the status quo, mind, when the SJS march about the place shooting everyone.

At the end of the double-length musical extravaganza…

I rate that as one of the most incredible things the Meg or Prog has ever published.
It’s brilliant on its own, but when combined with the actual songs on Soundcloud, it reaches new heights of awesomeness.

I heartily recommend anyone who hasn’t yet done so to read or re-read it alongside the soundtrack:

A warning….the songs are real earworms! You’ll find yourself humming them for weeks.

I love the Regened debates!

What worked for us as kids isn’t necessarily what will work for kids today…and Regened is aimed at them!

I’m lucky I guess, insofar as I still enjoy the Regened progs very much, despite being oooolllldddd, but over and above that it’s vital the progs attract a new audience to replace us old farts when we expire. That is just a fact of life, and I’d support Tharg trying to do that even I didn’t like the material. (But I do!)

What a fantastic cover. The depiction of Sensitive Klegg, both on the cover and in the strip, is absolutely perfect.

I’m 53 and I think Pandora Perfect is awesome.

There’s a place in the main prog for stories like that.
Not everything has to be all dark and serious.

Yes this was a good special and if you have children I can recommend it
I don’t have children and never will.

But that isn’t going to stop me! I’m taking out a subscription to this.

Obviously, it’s for research purposes / showing support for the concept, and nothing at all to do with the fact that I find this type of humour as funny now as I did when I was 8 years old.

I'll be picking this up next year for a 5 year old Beano fanatic.
And maybe a flick through myself too!

Any word on the creative teams?
Can we assume the ever excellent Lew Stringer will be involved?
I will join you in wishing for some Lew Stringer.
I love his humour and I love the style of his characters.
It’s perfectly suited to Monster Fun.

Wow this is fantastic news.

I’ll be having a subscription to this as soon as it’s available.

I don’t have any children....it’ll be for me! Cough.

Really enjoyed this.

Not sure about Dredd not looking like Dredd for most of the story though. That was a strange idea. Art is great.

Really enjoyed ‘Splorers which was just masterful and I love how it follows on from Survival Geeks, it’s actually quite moving. Looks brilliant but that’s a given of course.

Mayflies is good and the art is great.

Enjoyed the Future Shock, it worked well, art suited it perfectly.

Chopper was good but the character doesn’t act much like the original. Seems a bit too fluffy. Again the art here is great.

I’d like to see Finder and Keeper again, I thought those stories really worked.

As always, I love the Regened concept and look forward to it every quarter.

And as we are in groundhog mode, I shall post my regular assertion that, as a 2000ad reader since 1982, and a subscriber of many years standing, I love the regnened progs. So there!

Can it really be eighteen years since the last time Tharg stuck a badger on the cover?
Ah, that period when they were clearly trying to make the Meg look like it was the '2000ad Megazine' rather then the 'Judge Dredd Megazine'. The clever positioning and de-emphasising of certain words and logos....
