Somehow, I totally missed the volume 3 announcement and now it's sold out. How will the poor spines look now with a sad little paperback in there? Bollocks!

304 pages, apparently, which is pretty chunky. I don’t envy whoever had to put that together. Compiling the best of the master’s stories must have been insanely tricky.
It's America, reprinted 2.5 times…
It's The Best of John Wagner's Judge Dredd, not The Best of John Wagner's Dreddworld Spinoffs. Which is a shame, as otherwise Al's Baby would be in there.

In celebration of the original Mega-City master, this collects the very best of John Wagner's Judge Dredd stories!
This is going to need to be a big book!

Judgement Day*   26
It's twenty episodes including the six in the Meg, not 20 plus 6.

Definitely one of those rose tinted case where the glasses are beginning to drop. I remember 10 years ago you would be driven out of town for daring to say any Donner movie was a bit rubbish.
I think with Goonies you needed to see it as a kid. I didn't.

Bit rubbish isn’t it?
Never seen it.
Wouldn’t bother if I was you.

And isn't there a weird inconsistency with Schenker?

He's referenced in the Cadet Anderson stories as being head of Psi Division, despite that making no chronological sense - is that what you were thinking of?
I thought it was something more radical like he’d been killed off then they just forgot about it. However, I think you’re right and I was just blowing bubbles.

Surely only currently beaten by Dredd, Hershey and Anderson in terms of longest-appearing Judges still extant?

And isn't there a weird inconsistency with Schenker?

Which I wasn't on holiday right now so I could properly join in with this one!

Tough draw. One of these has written half of my personal All Time Top Ten Thrills. The other has written some alright if disjointed Andersons, one good Dredd and  half of a mildly amusing nerd-riffing comedy strip which wasn't as good as Bec & Kawl.

Smith 5 - 0 Beeby

The available date (and thus publication year) of any given Prog or Meg is the cover date of the previous issue + 1. However, for the purposes of "best of year X" polls, the year end Prog should always be considered as part of the following (cover date) year as usually a bunch of new stories start in that issue.

I actually feel like she's taking the piss with this Demo Versions series. Sure, everybody loves the old 4 Track Demos, but do we really need the equivalent for every album she's ever released? Not convinced and would be much happier with an actual new record.

In the interestes of positivity I've mostly been listening to the absolutely lovely Scuro Chiaro by Alessandro Cortini. Lovely synth waves and pulses and occasional jarring bleeps.

I'm in the Middle East and everything has always been dollar-denominated
Think you're missing out a sizeable chunk of the world where it's in Euros! Depending on how close to France I am at any given time it offers me either Euros or Dollars.

Sorry, I didn't entire myself to vote in the last few rounds. Wouldn't have changed anything though: Cliff's lack of stop work would've hampered him against anyone but Arthur's Anderson is definitive.

Robinson 1 - 4 Ranson

Good fun all round. Thanks for the intrigue.
