One of these looks like it was made with charm, wit and invention.

The other one looks like a cold, hard paycheck that some people turned up for.

Not that anybody here might agree. But I still spfx these days are a bit cold. Where's the old one is made from green puppetry, but very back in those days. I thought that and devil dogs (Gargoyles...Guardians...)were cool. I don't have problem with either, but the I guess the lack of love that went with easier option computer wizardry (More and more these days) reflects on how much your not really going to care those thing now.

I was thinking I might want one of these, just to add to my collection of all things that come from Slaine.

Still can't help but think the sculptor made it obvious that it could have once been a Warhammer 40k/Fantasy Ork.....

(Not a good example, but I think you know anyway....) Another Warhammer influence in Slaine . Not a bad thing mind you. Because I'm pretty sure Pat Mills wrote a entire book about the Space-Marine Tech-Priests once. Along time ago. I almost won that in biding war. Slaine would fit so well into the Warhammer fantasy universe. Likewise Judge Dredd could be found some where in the 40k version. Even though JD isn't really set that far into the future, maybe he's still in a time overlapping with the older world of fantasy....

So, the old gods might have been some lost Eldar & a few Orks trapped in their own respective El-Worlds they were. From were El-World for Elves, Orks, & Goblins overlaps with one for the gods.

Why that never happened?

Anyway, the idea of the old god's noggin being mounted like it was ever beheaded was one of the deal breakers for me. It's just not classic look/pose for Avagddu.

A sculpt of him climbing out of the Cauldron of Blood would have been superb.

Yet, the rest of the deal breaker is that I just don't find that thing attractive at all. Yea, I know it's Slaine thing. But any one that see's in my collection going to think I have some strange fantasy's about rotting Ork heads.

Tried to resize those pictures, but that's not working. Must be a privilege, I lost a few days earlier. Could a mod help me out with that.

Or just pop him on your ignore list... I done it a while back and visits to the site improved tremendously.

And new visitors to the site? Possibly potential readers, or ones new to the prog, who are treated to TS's musings on strip clubs, prostitutes, and whether phone workers' panties are getting wet from talking to him?

I'm sorry, but this stuff just stinks up the forum.

Jim

While I'm back here, I'd like to endorse this view. The joke isn't funny any more. Either be respectful and demonstrate good values while talking mostly about comics, or find the appropriate part of the Internet to post your content.

Look if your addressing about what ever I said earlier, please point it out exactly. As I said before anything I did shouldn't be treated that sensitively. That's just plain silly and as it was something posted possibly sometime last week & or deleted by the mods on under a different topic.

Shouldn't we just forget that.....

Read about this on Facebook from Commandom of course. Sad news to hear, but this name doesn't sound familiar to me.

Yet, W.R. Logan....did he post here a lot in the past. I think I remember that.

Although it it's hard say much about somebody I haven't met face to face and that pretty much goes for the lot of you.

The circumstances make it sound like it was career related.

Great concept about the United City States of America.
;)

I don't get it unless your talking about the colours of the American flag.

All else I can add here is that, I think it's too much a twist that Roth isn't Slaine's legit dad.

If Roth was in the habit of beating up on Slaine when he was boy.....doesn't that contradict that fact that he being brought by another.

What would Mongan Axe-Head think or say?

I think the idea of fostering is that Roth be allowed to interfere with him...that up to Mongan

As for being beaten, I'm sure they all get that.

Of course, these are tough times, and what better to thicken his skin.

"All that ranting" as you describe ir, was you creepily telling us about your fairly repulsive fantasies of sexually harassing the female call centre worker that called you up about your credt card.

Why diid you feel you needed to share that with us?  How did you think that would that would make you appear to the rest of us?  Why do you think your post was deleted?

Actually, I just gave her my CC details so I could pay off some of my debt for this month & she kept chewing my ear off about the next time I would need to pay more of my debt for this fortnight coming up and just hung up.

Gee's, I was only thinking about asking if her panties are getting wet over my phone voice. She was harassing me, & I merely wanted to ask the harassment more worth while. Nobody puts up with that much abuse without good reason for it. So I hang up.

Incidently, I don't talk much at all, especially not as much as I write stuff and else. That's my outlet for venting.

Do you really need to add few layers of ominence to you anything you find in the slightest bit off colour in my commentary.

I thought Diabetic Nightmare was a novel way to describe something from the first film. Without giving away what I talking about completely. Without spoiling it.

All that ranting I did on another tread that must have been mod-deleted was really about what seemed like online shop advertising the prog I wanted nearly a fortnight ago and having just enough money left in my bank account at the time and then numbered crunched as just enough money disappeared in order for that purchase to never happen until I asked Steam for a refund on game that unlocks next week. I can still repurchase the game next Monday. I got that money yesterday morning and now it's gone. Yet, I'm no longer so hungry.

Perhaps it's a flaw in my character but I'm neither as intelligent, empathetic or tolerant as some other boarders. Please just fuck off and never post again until you are able to grasp the fact that women are autonomous people with their own hopes and dreams and desires which do not include you.

BTW.....

I know this a double posting for me. But, before this thread goes the way of the Mad Max and gets locked!

They wouldn't autonomous, with hopes and dreams.... as you say then might want to hope and dream on being more original. It's not autonomous to follow in the wake of the original Ghost-Busters and to do it so closely as from what I have seen in the trailer. Nearly every main character is a Gender-Swapped analog of those from the first two movies.

BTW....

As far as I'm concerned. The words Gender & Swapped together have nothing to do with their sexual denomination and of changing sex. It just simply means that the boys have now passed the torch to  the girls. It doesn't mean the characters played by Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson & the late Harold Ramis and whoever was Janine Menitz have undergone a sex change or have taking to wearing the clothes of the opposite gender.

Really, I'm think you have some personal problems with me and your just pretending I said some thing really offensive to everybody here.  Looking for any reason to have me banned or just tell me to fuck off.

Maybe I said something offensive about what I thought of this trilogy final over a month ago.....but your a little too slow if you want cry foul about that now. Like, I did try to be as fair and polite as possible as I typically can when I made my point back then. Don't bitch about it now though!

I'm most certainly not sorry and won't be taking anything I said back for any-bodies sake.

#26
For FUX sake...what did I say now......was it the words GENDER-SWAPPED?

Honestly don't know what's wrong with that. I was just trying to be witty, that's all or was it the spoiler or that fact that I didn't use one properly. You know Junk Food icon, Diabetic Nightmare.

Anyway, from your attitudes that I'm being backward....well, I'd think I have a clue that it was the word Gender-swapped which describes the new Ghost-Busters film exactly without insulting anybody as far as I'm concerned. It's just slang word, or slang word combi-thing. I like using those, and it's not to put people down.

If believe that your sillier than that minority that doesn't like me using words She-Male wether or not I'm addressing them personally.

This just two people over reacting again.

Maybe Goaty was upset  that I found that one before he did.....

I assure that my so called offending commentary above had nothing to do with any or my personal problems from the past or problems I'm having now. Some real or imagined.

This is like me getting banned form sex chat room for talking about using Skype I said one word and bam, I was thrown out of this girls chat room for day and a night before being let back in and now I don't go in there anymore...anyway!

Yet, 2000AD means more to me......I have invested a lot of time and money into this comic (For want of a better word....) Rebellion!

I love it here.....but this makes me sad....

Games / Re: Last game played...
20 May, 2016, 07:23:57 PM
In between recorded games of Farcry Primal & while rating for my internet to reset back to it's highest latency again....I've also been playing The forest via Steam.

I know I talked about this one before & was quite obnoxious about the bashing of male and female mutant cannibals right after crawling out of the wreakage of a airliner whilst it's engines a failed as it flew over some undiscovered island inhabitated by these quasi- humans.

This time and as always I head for the beach to further out from where I egressed the broken fuselage (Minus the cockpit!) and build small camp right on the tip of peninsula to the right of the nearest bay which is itself to the right of the cliffs further out from the plane wreak.

Just a small fire to cook some of that what appears to be Goanna (So it's either alternative part of Australia or one of the island to the north of it!). At this stage of the game the funny looking inhabitants either vaguely male or female and some of them even more vaguely either sex, but minus their sex organs. These ones are completely naked, because they have nothing to hide and at one stage of the game I had come to the conclusion they were wearing skin tight suits for some reason. Yet, no, they're really been sexually deprived. While more the human looking ones where wear lion cloths, and other accessories. The high ranking ones, adorn them selves with severed limbs and other body parts. I have theory they're the Berzerkers, because they think they're carrying geriatrics of the tribes, quite possibly they're own parents or tribal elders. I'd be berzerk too if I had to carry my dead relatives all day.

They also fight better now, and will give you plenty of reason to just run or make for the nearest cave, hole in the ground, tree-platform or treehouse, or water. They won't follow you into caves, because of that glitch that doesn't allow them to spawn in the cave with you when you leave the outside zone behind you. I'm sure they going to try and fix that, and make it that much harder. I can imagine fighting off several of those primitives while poised at the bottle neck exit of a cave. It would also be interesting trying to stop a knife wielding savage from cutting the rope as you rapelling down from one of those hole in the ceiling caves. It doesn't look like they can swim and they don't follow you into any water that goes higher than my knee's. I'm okay with that. It would be all too much if they could swim after me and drag me under.

They have since been given some Boxing (Footwork, dancing from toe to toe!) and Ninja skills (Tiger rolls, flips, skittering around all fours.). They dodge sideways real quick and leap into your blind zone for a surprise blow to your unprotected back.

Still I managed to take down seven of them on my first day on that peninsula and then headed further inland for some exploration. The game now tends to remake each game with a standard map and fixed location for the plane crash. Yet, it's still surprisingly roughly the same map I started with when I began playing this game so long ago. They have extended the playing field further now. Beyond that river, that wide body of water in the low land further to the right of that bay if you keep heading in that direction. Where the game once gave warning that I have reached the farest point of that side. It just let me through and further up into the snowy regions that were getting more mountainous.  I tired to build there and while stuff is easier to locate on the snowy terrain. The cold weather drains you stamina until you build a fire and I died up while being chased by some monstrosity, like three bodies melded into one. It makes some horrifying bird like twittering noise. Only that it sounded really unnatural, even for a bird.

I was able to craft Molotov-cocktails......

Continued later....

I forgot to add that line....

HUMANS
ARE AFTER ALL
A BASTARD RACE.
NEITHER APE NOR
CYTH

Now I always thought that Apes & being descended from them was Darwinism.

Sure the author might not agree. Given that I couldn't immediately find anything (From that link above!) to support my belief that we are descended from Apes. Not that it has to be that way & especially in this universe.

Nothing wrong with that really....anything is possible in here!

This begs a question about that Dark Gods book that P. Mills once referenced was a partial source for Time-Killer & all that stuff about the Root-Races.

Where did humans come from?

(Of course, the answer might found if you follow the last link.)

I don't actually believe this it true, but like Slaine. I like a good fantasy fiction!

A few corrections....

I also thought being descended from apes was something to do with Darwinism (Even though I can't find evidence to support that  from following that link!)

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah....

Where did humans come from....in the Slaine-verse?

I found my official replica of the Dwarven made key to Erebor that I ordered from Weta Collectables when Hobbit were being shown.

Not sure what I paid for mine, but it now only cost about thirty dollars AUD. Quite possibly half that much in British Pounds.

Lost it for nearly a full fort night when I found that it wasn't in it's cradle. Large & heavy in my hands, it's worth is more than the money I played for it and the symbolism of having the mechanism that opens the secret back door to their mountain kingdom & it's vast treasure.

I found that it had just fallen on the floor between the narrow space  of this computer desk (Where I'm sitting right now!) and the set of draws that I keep the left speaker and woofer on.
