Another vote for Tron 2, one of my favourite belated sequels.  Another upvote for the soundtrack too, you can actually watch the movie with the soundtrack only and still get a pretty good gist of what’s happening especially if you are familiar with the first one.
Been on a bit of an Asian movie kick at the moment as SBS have been playing a nice collection this month, quite a varied collection such a Journey to the West 2, big budget and bombastic, League of Gods another big budget CGI fest but probably didn’t enjoy it as much as Journey not being familiar with the story but the two standouts for me were The Mermaid from Stephen Chow (Kungfu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer) which is very slapstick and bonkers but lots of fun and The Villainess which is top stuff.  Anyone in Oz can watch these for free on SBS on Demand

Watched the last episode and was real impressed that theykilled of Picard and then they didn’t  >:(, overall not a bad series but I’m sure I’m probably in the minority here in the I like Discovery more and am chomping at the bit to see where they take that after the end of last season.

West World season 3 has just started if you have a way to watch it.  I really liked the first 2 seasons and the s3 opener is a good one.  They’ve called it a soft reboot as we are now out of the park (though preview for ep2 looks like we may be heading back to the park for some of the characters).

6 Underground on Netflix.
It’s a Michael Bay movie through and through, my missus stopped watching 20 minutes in as all the jumping cuts we’re giving her a headache 😊 I actually enjoyed it but if you don’t like Bay don’t bother, lots of nonsensical plot hole, fast cut action, pretty nasty violence, leering camera on the female form like I said typical Bay

I don’t normally binge my Netflix shows but I devoured this over 3 nights.  I’ve got the collected box set of the comics and really liked it, the show is just as good, they have changed a few things (some of the keys do different things and a few changed/moved about characters) but it definitely has the vibe of the comic (have I mentioned how good the comic is? Read it if you haven’t) and they have changed things up enough that the series still throws a few supposes up.  I did guess pretty early the twist
having the face change key rather than the gender key gave it away a bit particularly if you have read the comic and were familiar with the whole Dodge thing that happens in it
Waiting for next season now.  Still new Season af Altered Carbon drops this week to keep me busy

Birds of Prey - fun and enjoyable romp, some top action in it nice a clean and actually looks like real fights none of those quick cuts style fights that marred Charlie’s Angels.  Ewan is a right bastard in this and it was very satisfying when he got his come uppance at the end also
Hyena survived I was most upset when it looked like he’d copped it
, missus really enjoyed it too.
Sonic - big Sega fanboy but really wondered how they could actually turn Sonic into a half decent movie but they did.  Nice breezy and enjoyable, the new much talked about Sonic design certainly suited it more than the original eldritch design, Sonic is annoying as f&$k which I’m thinking he should be an Carey as Robotnick is very good.  I liked Detective Pickachu more but this was still pretty good.  The missus fell asleep 10 minutes in and woke up with 10 minutes left, in her words “boring”

Chapter 3 is my favourite so far, never been the biggest fan of Bobba Fett but really liking Mando.  And me in gott the pure unadulterated fan service that was the last 5 minutes of this episode was spectacular, Madalorians everywhere

Watched the new CHARLIE’s Angels and supprisingly didn’t spontaneously grow a womb!!!  It was actually average to okay just wish th action scenes were cut a bit better.  That girl from Twilight was pretty funny in it and it had Sir Patrick Stewart it as well.  Doesn’t deserve the absolute drubbing it’s getting in the box office but in a world where the last Terminator flick can flop for being too WOKE (fuck I hate that terminology) what do you expect, probably better than the McG fiascos though

Well first episode was pretty good, sequel to the comic story (definitely was a giant squid in this universe not Dr Manhattan doing off) with the admittedly brilliant art direction from the movie.  Sets up a decent mystery in the first episode and while it does have some action not glorifying it like the movie (which while it all looked pretty cool kinda missed the point of the comic)
so Don Johnson character doesn’t last past the first episode but pretty sure we may see him in some flashbacks, anyone who’s seen it think he may have been Nightowl 2, Sister Night (or what ever her name is) was drinking from an Owl mug in his office and pretty sure they were owls hooting at the end when he was hanging from the tree
Looking forward to episode 2

I’m guessing as this is Amazon Prime it isn’t going to be on Netflix like Discovery was :'( I’ve been trying to avoid getting another service but with this and a new season of The Expanse dropping on Amazon I may have splash out on 2 services.

Just back from Ad Astra, nearly fell asleep twice!! Exceptional looking film I’m no scientist but I don’t think some of the space science adds up to well.  The previews sell it as something different than what it is though.

Hobbs and Shaw is daft fun but I had a laugh when the girl I work with who watched it said she didn't like it as it was too unbelievable compared to the Fast and Furious movies she absolutely loves!!!  Too unbelievable 😂😂😂😂 compared to Fasat and Furious!!!!

Yes Smithereens just f$@ken wow, that's some quality TV right there.  Number 2 in my order with Steel Vipers as playing first, just Hannah Montana grown up to go but it will have to be good to beat that.  Pitty there's only 3 EPA this Sean but it's worth it just for Smithereens I think, suppose you could add Bandersnatch in for this season to make it 4 EPISODES.

Well that was one exciting season finale, successfully explains why no one in the original serie, Next gen etc never mention the Disocovery, Sporedrives, Burnham and so on.  More action than the last few newtrek movies which is sure to upset some people but I enjoyed it, I love seeing me some Federation ships going all zappy zap.  So next season what's it going to be about?  Now spoilers so Discovery has jumped 900 years into the future with its crew does that mean the next season is going to be sequel not prequel now set well after Next gen? here's hoping
