Loved Fringe. As others suggest, once it really got going, some brilliant twists and turns.

Long time fan. Would put the series in order of favourite as

DS9
TOS
TNG
Enterprise
Voyager
Lower Decks
Prodigy
SNW
Picard
Discovery

Still love DS9 in particular. The variety of characters, the writing, having to resolve various tensions while living together on a Space Station.

More recently, have enjoyed both Lower Decks and Prodigy..Discovery not so much.

Brilliant show, and I reckon the best SW on TV so far. Well written, fine cast, great settings, slow burner of a plot (at the start), but just keeps building and getting better every week.

Film & TV / Re: The Batman (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

Thought it was a decent interpretation, and had the feel of a comic book Batman in parts. Liked the more 'gothic' portrayal of the character, the Riddler was genuinely creepy, and very different from any of his previous appearances.

It is a bit too long, could have been 2-2 and a half hours. Plot wise, reckoned it held together with the different crime bosses/syndicates, and the overall corruption of the city.

Are there any meet ups now and again for fans in Scotland?

There's a well practiced formula:
1. pick a date well in advance, often around a convention
2. several people agree to meet
3. cancel one by one due to other commitments, until all agree to reschedule in a couple of months.

:) :) This sounds familiar to me....will check out the Tournament of strips as well.

And welcome to the board!

Welcome to the board!

Interesting that you liked Tornado.  I recently (few years ago) read the whole lot as part of a prog slog, as well as Starlord.  I liked Blackhawk, Wolfie Smith and Angry Planet, but didn't really rate the rest that highly.  Did you get to read Starlord?

Yes indeed. Enjoyed Starlord as well (liked Ro-Busters, Timequake, and of course Strontium Dog there) ....from Tornado, quite liked Victor Drago, and Blackhawk. Sad that both only ran for 22 issues.
