[Child of Eden] I foresee the same incessant replaying to get a perfect score on every level.  Favourite bit so far is the giant, luminous space-whale that turns into an even gianter space-phoenix thing.

Up to 99% clear on the first two levels and I just can't see what I'm missing.

Recalling a drunken conversation with Satanist and Dr X, I grabbed Jetpac Refuelled from the XBLA and been annoying myself with that for the past couple of days. Does exactly what it says on the tin, quite vibrantly.

Finished F3AR and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a bit of a FEAR fanboy though, played the first couple of games pretty endlessly. I'm happy to call this a worthy sequel and a nice apocalyptic trilogy-finisher. It's not particularly scary, although I did jump a few times and made an embarrassing yelping noise that the missus heard from the bedroom. It's certainly more creepy and tense than the 2nd game, but lacks the impact of the 1st.

Gameplay-wise it's pretty smart, really tight shooter mechanics, an occasionally useful cover system and the joy of slo-mo. The slo-mo doesn't have quite the same kick as it used to (there's a lot less audio and visual feedback to it) but in general it's a very nice looking game, but without the showyness of 2 (playing 2 now it feels like there's vaseline all over your eyes with the amount of motion blur and HDR lighting on show). The ranking/leveling system is fun too, and suggests that co-op is probably the best way to play the game so I'm looking forward to trying that.

Read a couple of pretty negative reviews of this, but I'm really happy with it.

Just Cause 2.   Very good fun though I seem to have wandered off the storyline forever driving, parachuting around simply so I can blow up things, kill Authority figures and innocent by standers. Well it is a Dictatorship though the Freedom loving Reapers I'm fighting with are mostly in it for their own rather than freeing the soon- to- be -massacred, huddled masses.

 It was the Reapers or two other purely criminal gangs you could fight for and of course it's all on behalf of freedom loving Uncle Sam who can't abide the fact that THEIR Dictator was overthrown in a Military Coup. Your a sort of Latino James Bond zipping around with your hookline that can latch onto concrete, flesh anything and if your clever latch two objects together at once something I've yet to achieve. It looks stunning, has a fully destructable enviroment and was just a paltry £3 something or other from STEAM though I think it's gone up in price again. Destructively [is that a word, it is now] addictive!

I grabbed Just Cause 2 and all the DLC from the Steam sale too and it's a blast.

I'm only on the second mission so far (the one with the casino) but it's a lot of fun.

Just finished Dante's Inferno, and quite enjoyed it. I haven't played a lot of God Of War (only the 1st) but it's just a clone of that really. Advantage of not playing much God Of War is that I wasn't bothered by that. Not my genre really but love the Dead Space so wanted to give another Visceral game a pop, it's no Dead Space but still a lot of fun. Very button bashy (but that's the genre I guess) but runs for just the right length so I didn't get bored. Some good epic moments too, and I'm way too low-brow to find all the clitoral/cock based stuff offensive. I'd play a sequel but that doesn't seem to be on the cards, despite a 'To Be Continued...' at the end credits.

Dungeons and Dragons Daggerdale. It's ok but a bit limited. Not too great menus etc but good  fun all the same. At £6 from Steam can;'t complain really but I will anyway!

On a similar note (maybe not), I'm currently addicted to Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. Very cartoony in that Japanese way but the fighting is more like a puzzle game. Turn based, line up 3 units for attacking/defending, link attack units etc etc. Apparently it's like Final Fantasy Tactics if you've seen that. In any case I'm thoroughly hooked cos of the fights. Demo/game on 360 and PS3. Oh and the DS, for those of you that way inclined

Great game - I've clocked up 20 hours and still have one of the 5 main campaigns to do. Multiplayer is fun also (xbla). The puzzle mechanics work brilliantly.

Had a pretty epic split-screen co-op session on Fear 3 the other night, me and a mate got about halfway in. It's fantastic fun, him as Pointman and me as Paxton. It's interesting how differently it plays as Fettel (Sniper on high? Instead of fighting your way to him just possess him and the snipee becomes the sniper!) and the competitive elements of the co-op make it a good laugh. It's obviously not that scary when you're both on the couch bantering through it, but in terms of fun and the excitement of the action it's turning out to be possibly my favorite Fear since the 1st game.

Finally got round to playing Tomb Raider Underworld. It's bloody great.

Anyone who says riding a big motorcycling around in a Mexican tomb and shooting jaguars is not very very cool is a liar. A dirty rotten liar.

Other than games mentioned in other threads I'm now sadly addicted to Flight Control HD on the ipad. Also found out MyBrute is free on there so I'm... well I was gonna say "playing that" but you dont really play MyBrute. You just watch it and wonder why the fuck you cant stop

Completed Shadows of the Damned last night. Reminds me of an old PS1 game called Nightmare Creatures.

Very short but has one of the best levels of its type (stripper dreamscape) and some crazy 2d shooter levels just for the hell of it.

No exploring really and no replay value whatsoever but its a blast all the same. Rent or buy cheap.

Traded it today for Child of Eden.
