Oh hark on me - I got me Avatar back. I was piddling around looking for something and for one reason or another I pottered to my Profile and noticed my Avatar was no longer there but the options to upload were back - so a quick search of files later and Bob's ya Uncle we're back...

but the question is can other folks see it?

Yep yours came back a wee bit ago as I recall(?) can't believe I didn't think to check then. But AWAYHEY looks like Avatars are back.

If you want to get your old avatar back, just do the following:

1. Go to your profile page and copy the URL.
2. Paste the URL into the search bar of the Wayback Machine.
3. If it has that page stored then choose the year and date and it should show up - it may take a minute.
4. Right-click the image and select Save Image As...
5. Upload it back to your profile.
