Saw where you're based on the blog and just wanted to say 'hi' to a fellow Yorkshire-ite. At the risk of assuming too much by comparison (not my intention, it's just the blog reminded me), I briefly knew a guy who married a Japanese lady and he couldn't handle the life in Tokyo so they moved to a tiny rural village near Winchester. Extreme contrast, I would have thought.
