This Forum is a unique little space on the inter-mah-nets and you definitely have what it takes to be described as one of the valued Squaxx.
As others have posted before me, your input is appreciated.
Keep up the subversive and amusing good work!

Quote from: kraken on 27 July, 2023, 01:17:23 PMHow about dredd with an old bag on him?
Yeah, if the new Dredd is supposed to be wearing a distressed Rad-Cloak it comes across as a dirty brown rag.
  :eh:
But the muddy boots should have the completists satified.
Divorced but satisfied with their 1/18th collection.

Careful what you wish for T.Mc.F.
That unpopular 1/6 scale figure (Badge, Shoulder and Eagle pads worn over Rad-cloak by magnets? what the Drokk? ) was the death of ThreeA's 2000AD line and about 20 months later the whole company went under/the two owners separated and went their own ways.
The original release ThreeA Dredd's in 1/6 and 1/12 (plus Lawmaster!) are both very nice figures, looking over my shoulder at them now while Mezco's 1/12 'Disco Dredd' is on his Lawmaster too.  :)

Great work, very 'Gibsonesque'.

The ultimate custom would be to make some cooking gelatin and seal ANDERSON in her Boing® tomb properly.
Bolland's classic art always had air bubbles frozen in time, along with a suspended Cass.

Gotta commend HIYA on the innovation behind the releases.
Dredd vs Spirit Death SDCC set.
Dredd vs Fear "Fist'o'Dredd" set.
Anderson vs Spirit Dark Judges set.
and now Anderson suspended in time set.
Very good, keep 'em coming.

Quote from: Richard on 27 June, 2023, 10:32:09 PMYes, but there is a recent reprint of DC's other Judge Dredd title, Legends of the Law here: https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/GRN796

Judge Dredd - Lawman of the Future.
You may be misremembering as it wasn't a DC title from the US.
Was published by Fleetway, pre-REBELLION ownership.

https://comicvine.gamespot.com/judge-dredd-lawman-of-the-future/4050-50474/

https://ukcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Judge_Dredd:_Lawman_of_the_Future

Only ran for 23 fortnightly issues 1995 - 1996 in attempt at cashing in on the Stallone DREDD '95 movie and pitched as a more "younger reader friendly" version of 2000AD.
Bit like the FCBD/ReGened Progs of today.
I collected it back in the day but it really was aimed at early teens and I recycled the comics years later with zero sentiment.

Quote from: The_Ruts on 10 July, 2023, 09:52:05 PMin the light of IDW's 'work'

At one stage I was a 2000AD completist and stuck with the first 30 issues of Vol.1. of IDW's Dredd and a couple of their mini's.
Gave up at issue 31, really was some bad stuff and total butchering of the classic early Dredd's with reboot's for the US market.  :-\

$90 Galactic Groats!!!
ThreeA's DEATH was $60 Groats including shipping seven years ago (Drokk me inflation on collectibles is bad) and I whined hard but purchased anyway.
One DEATH is quite is enough in my collection at these price points.
Still loving the innovative and continuing release schedule from HIYA, bloody fantastic.
Hopefully I'll see something that's a "must have" and be forced to dig deep sometime in the future.

Quote from: Dash Decent on 04 July, 2023, 02:03:13 PMI think I got a bit too enthusiastic about it!
Like body counts, Slaine didn't think the picture count too many.  ;)
Personally I really appreciate the amount and detail you provided.
HIYA are doing really well with their quality and amount of output.
The packaging and 'manual art' is ZARJAZ!
Those side-mounted MG's would last about 4 seconds and break if this was a *cough* childs toy and not the high-end adult collectible it's designed to be.

I swore I would not watch this because IMO Chris Pine is a very poor actor.
Visited friends over the weekend and my mate also being an ex-D&D nerd, convinced me to sit in as he re-watches.
I was totally surprised, it was really quite good and Pine played the sweet talking Bard character perfectly.
As Funt posted above, I thought of some DM spending hours creating his deadly bridge trap/puzzle and the PC's took 2 second to stuff it up.
Liked the Fighter arguing with the Magic User "can't you just magic a solution?" in the tavern.
The Mimic in the maze puzzle at the end almost had me lol'ing.
Overweight Dragon.
Gelatinous Cube.
Way more AD&D remember-berries than you can shake a "hither tither stick" at
Last modern movie I enjoyed was Villeneuve's DUNE, this was very different but quite fun and enjoyable after starting in with very low expectations.

Quote from: Lawman of the Present on 21 June, 2023, 11:05:45 PMI think this one would look a lot better if the ethereal trails of the Dark Judges were translucent. I thought it was branches on first look. Though, it does appear Cass has a new headsculpt....

Most definitely, my first thought was smoke trails because of the bone colour.
HIYA have done figures with translucent detail before or even FIRE who's all translucent.
Like the "Gaze into..." playset  this one (Dark Judges playset?) looks to pop a new headsculpt in for ANDERSON.
Keep up the good work HIYA.

Quote from: JohnWare on 14 June, 2023, 09:01:35 AMdoes Mr. Grumpy ever get delusions of grandeur and climb up on church roofs looking for law enforcement officers to eat?

I'm not sure if skinks dream like humans and some other creatures do.
Although I'd swear he's dreaming of Dredd's first encounter with the 'Son of Old One Eye' just now.

Such gore! Such ultra-violence and published not that long after the castration and then slow death of a neutered ACTION weekly.
How did Tharg and 2000AD get away with it at the time.

Satanus has a distant and lesser known Radback relative.
His name is Mister Grumpy (as per the Mr. Men children's books naming convention).
While he disapproves of the treatment of his Meg-side cousin by Dredd and the denizens of the Cursed Earth in the saga, he does approve of this review.
The bloke that provides his shelter, food and water appreciates JW's 'timely' reviews in general.
With a similar story of regular Prog purchases around the 200's, so it was Titan Books and Eagle re-prints for the then unobtainable early Prog's, containing the best of Dredd's earliest.

Strange choice by HIYA for a limited edition twin-pack but loving their innovative, never before seen releases.
As previously posted, slight tweak of the colour scheme and a new head for FEAR (behind the scenes, it's getting full use of the previously manufactured 1/18 DREDD + FEAR molds, I'd think).
I believe CAL and GIANT both came with additional heads, FEAR came with a trap.
Could have offered this new 'holey' head with the original release, to create a bit of extra buzz at the time.

Anyway keep up the innovative releases HIYA, can't wait to see what else your creative droids will show off.
 :)
