I'm totally down with that.

* Started round about Prog 506
* read every classic 2000ad and quality comic I could get my hands on
* Stopped getting it every week around about the 6-700 mark
* dwindling decay until...
* Back for the big 2001 prog and kept at it since.

"All religion is complete bollox"

Ah, but we're not talking religion, we're talking magic, which is more your hacking the operating system of the universe kind of thing.

Arguably its bollocks too but its a hell of a lot more fun at parties.

Seriously, you think we haven't already tried?

FutureQuake is temporarily on hold, due to me not having a flat or much money at the moment.

A friend of mine put it brilliantly: If I ever get published it'll probably be under circumstances similar to the last panel of Watchmen, where a burger-munching editorial assistant is asked to pull something out of the crank file and their hand hovers tantalisingly over Rorschach's diary, which just happens to be near the top of the pile.

Yes. That way they can spend  a lot of time updating the site and not have to read the damn things.

The earliest response time I've had is something like two months, but in general it's taken over six months for Future Shocks to get back to me.

Back in January they had a purge and sent back loads of FSs to loads of people, and after that response time got briefly better, but I have to assume that the pile is back up to its previous huge size by now.
