Got to admit, back in the day I could take him or leave him, and I thought 'Trash' was just that.

However, after just checking out his website (in particular the vast seething cauldron of creativity on display in his daily sketches gallery), I have to say his work is fantastic.

Yup, bring him back!

I think, like many other artists of the day, he was just largely saddled with crappy scripts.

Dobbyn on 2000ad would be a good call, IMO, if used properly.

Vaguely-related fact: Nigel Dobbyn and Arthur Wyatt look exactly alike.

Vaguely-related anecdote: one night at work I had occasion to give a name, for computery reasons, to an image of a cat we we were using in the paper. I called it "BILLY". A colleague commented, "Oh, that's one of mine."
A quick chat revealed he co-created Billy the Cat when he worked on the boys' comics. DCT creators don't tend to get the credit they're due, which is a shame. His name is Dave Christie and he's a good lad, now enjoying well-deserved retirement.
