There are not many titles that would give me pause up against SD, maybe Dredd...and Charley's War. I love all of CW, definitely one of the best war comics ever.

However, to be a bit dramatic, if I had to leave my home in a hurry, never to return and only had time to grab one complete series to reread forever, it would have to be Strontium Dog.

Blackhawk.

Fiends of the Eastern Front (but the first two series...and novels. I don't care much for the new/current Fiends).

Dan Dare. I just can't be motivated to read more Ace.

Haven't read much of either of these, but I'd rather read more Red Seas.

Great summary Colin...that must be some Strontium thats blown in my eyes! Voting has been a ton of fun, and I've enjoyed reading people's comments and the outcomes on the train each morning. And yes, these visual summaries provided by AlexF are top shelf!

QUESTION! Do you have the data to know who had the most 'winning' votes? I wonder if anyone voted for all the thrills that won (certainly not me!). That would be interesting and some bragging rights to boot! And who's opinions should we never listen to again because they voted for all the loosers? ;)

I haven't read either of these - a situation to be rectified at some point - so will abstain.

Ditto. Not a vote, but Stalag sounds interesting.

I've read little of either, but from what I have, it's Zombo.

What a final!! I am glad that Strontium Dog took it, but learned throughout the duration of this competition that I really need to read more Nikolai Dante.

Thanks for your continued efforts Colin, this comp has been a blast...and is apparently the only place our votes really make a difference!

I've managed to track down and read a chunk of these...the Wagner story is decent but I found the rest a struggle to read. I typically can find enjoyment with anything Dredd (I even see the sunny side of 90's Dredd & Ennis stories!), but this series is not it for me.

Flesh - except it's future humans come back to *now* who are cannibals.

That's my pitch.

Tharg! Make this happen! Would be an awesome Future Shock at the very least.

For those undecided, I present the following evidence in support of Strontium Dog (grabbed from Colin's Strontium Dog finals vote thread).

This is (in my humble opinion) an unbeatable listing of thrill power:

The Killing
Top Dog
The Kreeler Conspiracy
The Doc Quince Case
Incident Mayger Minor
Portrait of a Mutant
Two-Faced Terror
The Bad Boys Bust
The Schicklgruber Grab
The Son
The Gronk Affair
Rage
Traitor to his Kind
The Moses Incident
The Beast of Milton Keynes

STRONTIUM DOG

Alpha dog Johnny for the win!

I'd happily purchase Dredd Case Files quarterly. 4 volumes a year would be perfect, as we could slowly gain on recent stories. No less than 3 for sure...I devour the case files <3

Also, I would love to see a 3rd volume of Daily Dredds!
