Smart to move it into a period where vaccination might have kicked in to some degree.

It looks like not all FCBD comics will be available on the 14th August, this was on the Gosh!Comics website

Have to start with a Free Comic Book Day update (again)! We've been informed that UK accounts will not be receiving the full range of FCBD titles in time for the official date of the 14th. It's the old shipping capacity issue again, something which has been affecting even the regular deliveries of late, let alone the massive quantity of stock that constitutes FCBD. We've been told that we'll have all titles by the 25th August, so we will be moving our FCBD offering to Saturday the 28th August. Expect more updates as the big day approaches.

Was chatting to the man who runs my LCS (Sheffield Space Centre - wonderful shop) and he said they think they will have about 3/4s of the title by next weekend so they are going to go for it, though it will be a bit different.

I think next week is the offical date but there is flex given the circumstances its entirely possible FP are waiting for everything to be in?

No one selling this year's FCBD on eBay yet other than US sellers. Assume then it is one of the ones yet to make it to LCS's??

Alas a bout of isolation meant I didn't make it. My LCS us having a second date unlucky when everything is in. The Judge Dredd issue wasn't on there list for today anyway so it's possible it's not arrived in the UK yet.

Picked mine up today in the US of A - pretty good Dredd tale.

Mini-Solo picked up way more freebies than I did.

Comic-biz-store told me that it hasn't arrived as yet, and they won't be allowed to sell it online until *after* fcbd. Now, whether that now means after the 28th, or whether it will appear online as soon as they receive it, I don't know.

Diamond Distribution has been pretty woeful in the last year but, bless 'em, they managed to deliver a bundle of FCBD Dredd's to my local comic book store in Dubai.

Great cover and the Dredd tale was satisfying with a fun twist [spoiler](the SJS have their own Wally Squad)[/spoiler].

The other stories were introductory parts of two recent stories from the Prog and Meg which, despite being recycled, played out quite nicely and function as decent tasters for upcoming Collected GNs.

Yup got my copy. Really good Dredd short, with quality backups (which obv I have already). Was it worth spending £3.99? The completist in me knows I must.

It's fantastic - really reminds you what we lost when Al set sail - I am imagining a Ewing/Niemand dominated Dredd with the bi-annual Wagner run that could have been....

That would work a treat wouldn't it.

FCBD issues aren't what the used to be since ... someone ... seemed to want to stop Tharg turning out brilliant product. Still using the US format he's still giving us a decent treat. The Dredd is a pretty tight 6 pager and effective and hard. A good intro. The reprint materials is good for a newbie and so this is good compared to what else is on the shelf at FCBD these days.

FCBD issues aren't what the used to be...

Here are the fresh page counts (non-reprint strip pages) per FCBD:

2011: 01 [Obmoz]
2012: 04 [JD]
2013: 11 [JD & Planetronix]
2014: 17
2015: 18
2016: 22
2017: 17
2018: 28 [Regened]
2019: 29 [Villains Special - not actually FCBD]
2020: 06 [JD]

I'm not sure how many pages the current issue Dredd has, as I don't have it next to me.
