I reckon that sounds ok. Not my dream movie but it seems a workable premise.

Have to say all the shiney shiney pictures I'm seeing of this make it look like the most exciting mainstream comicbook movie for a while. I'm no fan of Thor but this looks like it might be a whole heap of overblown fun.

I'm sure everyone is already aware of this but no harm in mentioning just in case. Those remembering 'Scream' fondly can check out a brillant collection of '13th Floor' stories produced by our own Maryanddavid. Its fantastic.

I'm not being totally lazy though coz tomorrow I'm doing another creator interview one. Creators plural actually. Been asked to keep the details hush hush as its about an unannounced thing (which sucks as I now have to come up with my own questions instead of getting you lot to do it for me) but as soon as I get the nod I'll be posting it up.

Now you see that there is an exciting tease. In my mind this is of course the TV show has now got a station onboard and its details for that... oh the workings of my fevered imagination!

Has anyone worked out exactly why they air it over the hottest part of the year, rather than autumn/winter?

Maybe becuase the BBC know it'll draw in a solid audience and be viable on various repeat showing etc so they can take an intitial hit on but over all it'll still do well. Where as other shows might get lost in the heatwave? That'd be my shot in the dark.

Something that Steven Moffat alluded to which makes perfect sense is the simple fact that the weather was so good at the beginning of the Summer that 6pm on a Saturday was going to be down. There are also so many other delievery channels, be it repeat, iPlyer, whatever that actually watching telly when its on these days isn't as important as it used to be.

I'd think (but I would be guessing) that the percentages, e.g. what % of people who where watching TV were Doctor Who would be a better indicator of how the show was doing? I've no idea how these hold up? Edited to say. Audience Share thats whats this is called!

I've not seen any alarmist reporting about the future of Doctor Who as you would expect if the figures were actually concerning people. Is there any out there?

I've always been intrigued my the original 'Battle of the Planets' stuff, the Japanese stuff where it was one long story or something? Very different to the American TV show. Has that ever been released in English?

Do people know whether this is based on that?

Given that there are no more books listed for release, at least that I can spot. Is there not the chance they're not going to complete the series now? I'd guess sales haven't exactly set the world alight and it always seemed a very ambitious project.

I have nothing to base this on its pure guess work by the way.

I'm pretty certain that was Rick Veitch and while it gets good write ups and has Cam Kennedy art I wasn't that impressed.

Well my quest for 2000ad creators work from other sources plods on. I've not been that impressed with the bits of Star Wars I've read from Dark Horse but I've noticed that John Wagner's stuff os now all packaged in a couple of those good value Omnibuses they do. So the question is is it any good?

Anybody read his Boda Fett and 'Shadow of the Empire' stuff and care to share?

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news as I know a few people here than things in the pipeline from Insomnia but it looks like the company might have gone to the wall?

Quality Comics reprints of 2000ad strips were attrocious.I bought one copy but the artwork was colored and distorted and unreadable.
