Film & TV / Avengers: Age of Ultron
29 August, 2013, 05:10:28 PM
I couldn't see a thread for this, if there is one throw up a link and I'll merge them.

In the meantime, Ultron has been cast, and it's not at all an actor I would have suspected... a good choice though.

Featuring... some guy as a special guest. Here's your chance to point out all the things I no doubt got wrong!
My wifi went down towards the end of the recording, so I'm curious to hear how this ends...

Help! / Glasgow help needed!
04 June, 2013, 04:47:05 PM
Hello!
Me and my eldest will be in Glasgow for the Springsteen gig on the 18th (managed to get a couple of tickets from someone in work who couldn't go).
Anyone able to give me some advice on cheap and/or good B&Bs or hostels close to Hampden Park?

Cheers!

General / Ian Gibson totally misses the point...
20 March, 2013, 09:04:57 PM
I know I keep going on about sexism and the depiction of female characters in comics, but really, this Halo print by Gibson really takes the biscuit... it's as if he does not understand what makes her a great character at all...

I thought this was interesting in light of the recent conversation about digital rights and making copies of CDs.

Welcome to the board / New Readers Start Here!
20 September, 2012, 10:48:05 PM
So, as we're getting a rather wonderful influx of new folks, I thought rather than having each of them asking where to start, the good folks of the board could help them out on this thread.
So, apart from Dredd, what to start with?

I would suggest the  Kingdom and the Nemesis volumes to kick this off.

General / Quick Dredd question
27 July, 2012, 11:30:20 AM
So, if you imagine for a moment someone too lazy to search out information for themselves...

Can anyone tell if Dredd has been to Scotland? I remember a recent PJ that might have had him there..? But did he ever cameo in CalHab justice and is there a story set here that I'm just not remembering?

Cheers!

General / Strontium Dog question
23 May, 2012, 01:09:26 PM
So, could someone tell me the name of the planet that those stone killer, silicon based aliens come from?

I'm nowhere near any books and this may or may not be for a Dogbreath strip...

Cheers!

Howdy all. A friend of ours has won a couple of tickets to this show and can't go.
Here's her post:
I've won two weekend passes to the London Super Comic Con, and a meeting with Stan Lee. I unfortunately won't make it but I'd like someone to benefit from this brilliant opportunity! I'd like £40 for the passes(worth £50) and you can make me an offer for the meeting. It is a personal meeting with Stan where you will meeting him one on one, and talk for a while. No signing or photo guaranteed but might happen, you never know! I understand travelling from up here isn't cheap so willing to consider any offer, so just message me, Thanks Mazzy xx

Obviously, you just message *me* if you're interested...

Don't think I've ever bagged one of these before!

Anyway, Indigo Prime is awesome. Best thing in the prog, and that's saying something with Low Life hitting the mark the way it is.
