Speaking of great art from Dale - this Simon Jacob was picked up from him. he still has more Simon Jacob. Buy it, it's lovely!

I've taken your advice and am awaiting delivery of a spiffing Armoured Gideon / Armoured Jerubaal painted piece from Dale as we speak!

In other 'I'll be living off rice for the next two weeks' news, I've just secured the purchase of one of my favourite 2000AD pages of all time; the 4th page of Cams 'VCs' from Prog 163 (the heart freezing moment where the Earthworm considers betraying Ringer and leaving him to the Geek's mercy!)

Now if there was one detailing the history of non-superhero comics, with a full issue reprint each month, I would buy that. Fron Beano and Dansy through Bunty and Scream and all the rest - or maybe it's just me.

I would have started collecting 2000AD around the same time as you (give or take a year), though I was 5 or 6 years old at the time- and am still waiting for my 'mad moment of grown-upness'!

Link, I bought the big Nemesis books from the 2000 AD booth at the New York Comicon, but haven't read them yet. However, I've looked at a lot of the art and love it.

MGS: Peace Walker (incomprehensible). The writing and acting are dire and there's more cut scene than game. Are MGS 2 and 3 this tedious? Should I just delete them unplayed?

If you can get past some nonsensical cut-scenes & bad dialogue, I found them all to be very rewarding games in their own rights.
Embrace the 'Stealth' element for maximum enjoyment.
Plus, they have some of the most memorable 'Boss fights' of my gaming career.
