Speaking of great art from Dale - this Simon Jacob was picked up from him. he still has more Simon Jacob. Buy it, it's lovely!

I've taken your advice and am awaiting delivery of a spiffing Armoured Gideon / Armoured Jerubaal painted piece from Dale as we speak!

It never rains, but it pours!
The Simon Jacob box has been well and truly ticked off with this Armoured brothers painted page...
Brilliant design work around the border of the page too.

How could you ever let this one go Dale???  ;)

Cheers Greg! Not sure if there was any Rogue available in the listings Cam gave me- mainly Dredd, VC's and sundry 2000AD / Meg stuff.

Here's another little cracker that popped through my letterbox yesterday evening; the final Tyranny Rex page (again, thanks to Dale for giving me plum pickings of his Richard Elson haul).

A tasty little 'Makabre' page, courtesy of 'Uncle Umpty' himself (Dale)!  :)

In other 'I'll be living off rice for the next two weeks' news, I've just secured the purchase of one of my favourite 2000AD pages of all time; the 4th page of Cams 'VCs' from Prog 163 (the heart freezing moment where the Earthworm considers betraying Ringer and leaving him to the Geek's mercy!)  :)
Will post a pic as soon as it arrives!

Nice one, Rich. Glad you snagged summat from Cam, especially as its a page that means a big deal to you.
And yes, looking forward to seeing this, as well. The VC's featured some pretty darn brilliant art from Cam.

Heads up you 'Geeks'... my Cam page arrived yesterday, and it's a thing of beauty!
Pristine condition after all this time...It must have been hermetically sealed.

I'm a very happy Earthworm!  :)

The glasses make him look like Milhouse, or possibly Kirk Van Houten.

He'll be serenading some poor alter boy with "Can I borrow a feeling" within 2 days.

Some good points about Furman's career Prof.

And I agree...the 'old school' covers are brilliant. I've been trying to get them if available, only missed it one month I think.

Still not seen Breaking Bad... :-[

Just watch it. Seriously.

I've been hassling a friend to do the same - he always says "Oh, I don't have the time". No. Once you've seen the first episode, you will make time!  :D

I literally don't know anyone that hasnt seen it by now (including my parents for Gruds sake).
Was late for a meeting 2 weeks ago...my boss texted me 'Pollos'!  :D

Now if there was one detailing the history of non-superhero comics, with a full issue reprint each month, I would buy that. Fron Beano and Dansy through Bunty and Scream and all the rest - or maybe it's just me.

I'd buy it too.

Welcome aboard.
I would have started collecting 2000AD around the same time as you (give or take a year), though I was 5 or 6 years old at the time- and am still waiting for my 'mad moment of grown-upness'!

Link, I bought the big Nemesis books from the 2000 AD booth at the New York Comicon, but haven't read them yet. However, I've looked at a lot of the art and love it.

You have some envious reading ahead of you!

MGS: Peace Walker (incomprehensible). The writing and acting are dire and there's more cut scene than game. Are MGS 2 and 3 this tedious? Should I just delete them unplayed?

If you can get past some nonsensical cut-scenes & bad dialogue, I found them all to be very rewarding games in their own rights.
Embrace the 'Stealth' element for maximum enjoyment.
Plus, they have some of the most memorable 'Boss fights' of my gaming career.
