Judge Dredd on Jeremy Vine?

Apparently some commentator is about to come on Radio 2 saying that the Jury has had its day and everything should be decided BY A JUDGE.

Although Jeremy Vine is rarely worth listening to, so it probably won't be as exciting as all that. Just a ranting Daily Mailer followed by a bunch of Disgusted-From-Kent callers backing him ALL THE WAY against the PEEEDO SCUM.

Phil Williams kept inadvertantly mentioning "Judge Dredd? on FiveLive a couple of weeks ago when Martin Shaw was in plugging the new series "Judge John Deed". I thought it was just the fanboy in me that kept making that mistake when they show a trailer or something, but no Phil's Mum does it too apparently.

Further proof, if any were needed, that Judge Dredd is firmly embedded in the nation's sub-conscious.

Do you suppose it was always going to be called Judge John Deed? Maybe it was going to be called Judge Deed at some point, but it caused too much confusion?

Crap title for a drama anyway.
