Title: 2000AD Christmas Wishlist
Post by: critter on 18 November, 2007, 06:51:40 PM
ow by wish list I mean, you know you won't get it but you sure wish you did. I'll start off.

From Termight Replicas Judge Dredd helmet and Lawgiver.

Well not unless Wake and other boarders are feeling exceptionally giving this year :)

I'd like someone to go to the reference library and get me photocopies of every Daily Star Dredd, then get them bound up into a big book.

If either Santa or Tharg can help please do :)

I'm planning to ask for the Droidlife book, but everyone I know is too nervous to get me comics stuff, in case I've already got it.

That said, one year my lovely wife got me a Halo Jones page...

I'd like the Droid life book too, but I'll have to buy it for myself. I'd also like the Dredd vs Death and Rogue Trooper games

All the strips that i like in 2000ads archives that havent been reprinted yet as GNS to be printed again in the same format as all the case files or like the reprint of Charleys War that has a lovely shiny cover.

Not that fussed about hardback as softback is fine indeed.

Yup, TPO is my one-and-only Christmas request this year.  Well, that and peace on Earth and such (but only if TPO isn't available).

I've also dropped heavy hints about the first of the hardback Peanuts collections, but generally only out-and-out requests ("Look dear, see this, this here big orange hardback book by David Bishop,  all about 2000AD, this is what I want for Christmas, from you, this year.  This one.  This year. Get it for me.  Please.")  bear fruit.

::-peace on Earth and such (but only if TPO isn't available).

I beg to differ. I'd go to drokking war if my TPO was not "availabe". 'Specially if it was the only one for this Christmas.

Complete Nemesis Vols 1 & 2.

Strontium Dog. Now are the early cases not tied in with the Complete case files?

All of Judge Dredd Casefiles. Its amazing the amount of them have been published up to now.

The Jive t-shirt and a Jon Hinkleton Mug. Or a Simon Davis one.

Contract and Necronauts.

All the SD 'early cases' (the Starlord ones) are in Vol 1.  Bloody marvellous thing it is too.  The whole SD Casefiles project has been a masterclass in how these things should work.

I have been trying to order 2000AD related stuff. Most of those remaining case books I haven't got yet.

That damn Strontium Dog Case Files Three book is hard to fucking get.

Forbidden Bloody Planet now tellme that they will need to restock that particular book before they can order it in for me.

( You know that book that I can't even order here.)

I think heard this the story before. Another boarder on this message board who was trying get a copy of 'ThrillPower Overload'. ( I think they they who they are. Until they finally gave up on them.

Like I knew I as asking for trouble going through Forbidden Planet anyway. But they were my only other option.

Tell me, is it a sin to own a full set of 2000Ad elated Case File books.

For me Ebay woul be the last resort as I knowly buy stuff from them that has been well used if not perfectly preserved.

Like I think I am entitled to buying a fresh copy of this book.

They discribe the book as being NEAR mint condition.

Which means that it's not quite new.

Post by: W. R. Logan on 07 December, 2007, 08:36:48 AM
nearly all new books are NM [near mint]
My books come straight from Rebellion and all that happened is they are printed, delivered, packaged and then delivered to me and I wouldnt describe any new book that ive received as Mint.

And once you actually open/read the thing, well, that's that.  Nearly mint.  Any Casefile you might buy from the shelves of a bookshop has probably been flicked through more than once. Go for it, TS, you won't regret it!

Haven't done one the last couple of years.
I need to start earlier in the year, and haven't had time this year. I also need to find an artist willing to help out, for free.
