I just watched the trailer for the GOTG Christmas special, it's so strange to see Gunn take him take his level of fun to the DCU but maybe that's what it needs. On the other hand, unconnected movies would probably be a better way to go given that they're way too far behind on the shared universe thing.

Oh well, there goes my dream of one day seeing a Gunn-directed Strontium Dog movie (he's a big Stront fan, and I think it would be a perfect match of director and material).

You never know; he might reference the Stronty Universe of Bounty Hunters in an alternative Universe type of thing. Will he have the Main man Lobo as a Bounty Hunter?

Am I the only one not excited about this?

It seems to me to be an attempt to Marvelise the DC cinemaverse.

Will we go from a dark Snyderverse to a Gunn-gagverse? I don't think that's an improvement.

It's a shame really; the characters deserve SO much better.
