I'm not too far from you, I live on the north side of Chicago.  If you want to get the monthly 2000ad packs go to a Graham Crackers comic shop.  They have one in Downers Grove (close to Westmont and Lisle).  It's the only place I've found that carries 2000ad.  You wont likely see anything in the store and will have to ask for it.
