Help! / Re: Judge Death appearances

Because I don't read non-Death 2000 AD, I was constantly confused.  The collected graphic novels don't always do a great job of explaining things.

Last time I looked the whole Fall of Deadworld stuff was a bit all over the place.  I'm looking forward to making proper sense of it.

No, it occurred 'between panels', as it were.

Thanks for confirming.  Was worried there'd be another issue to track down!

I'm up to Dark Justice now which is where it really gets good again.  It's amazing how neglected the Dark Judges have been in the timeline until now.

Here's a question.

At the end of Wilderness Days, Judge Death ends up in hell.

During Dark Justice, he goes to visit PJ Maybe.  He mentions that the Sisters freed him from hell.  I've never seen a story where this happens though.  Was there one?

Film & TV / Re: Last movie watched...

Not a great weekend of films.

Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) - well, it's rubbish isn't it?  The only high point in the film is Grace.  She's a liability but as a character she's watchable.  Everything else was awful though.  Especially grumpy Sarah Connor who now looks like Katie Hopkins.

Bliss (2019) - pretentious vampire film.  Terrible acting and story.  I hated everyone in it from the second that I saw them.  Does have some reasonably effective vampy gore but that wasn't enough to save it.  Hated the ending a lot too (not what happened but how it is was shot).

All Hallow's Eve 2 (2015) - horror anthology.  The first one had three stories that were a mixed bag but did introduce a character called Art the Clown.  This one had eight stories and some pumpkin masked killer.  Some good stories, plenty of rubbish ones.  Okay overall.

It Came From the Desert (2017) - daft giant ant comedy horror.  Rubbish CGI, ridiculous characters but overall it was a lot of fun and had a fair bit of heart.  Based on the 90s Amiga game, and that features in the credits.

Great stuff.

That 83 annual contains a story that is in my bibliography.

thanks, guys.

Funt, that's great info.

I've got No Future on my Bibliography.

Richard, thanks for confirming!

I'm currently reading through Day of Chaos but am finding it a bit of a slog!

I wrote up the Placebo Poster Prog today on the site.

So far it is my least favourite Judge Death story.

Cheers for the responses, folks.

I've mentioned my site on the forum and I don't want to bleat on about it but i do want it to be as complete as possible.

I was just looking on eBay and spotted two things I don't know about.

1.  The 2019 Subscriber-only Poster Prog.  Is this a new JD story, has it been reprinted?  I just bought it (on eBay) but it'll be a while before it arrives.

2.  Plagues of Necropolis.  This doesn't come up in the Wiki or JD mentions on Barney.  Is JD in it?  He's on the cover (again, just bought it).

While I'm here, am I missing anything on my bibliography?  http://judgedeath.co.uk/bibliography

I hope you don't think I'm trying to mention the site too much.  I'll limit it to here if I have queries.

thanks!

Sorry about the double post.  No edit button.

They're all right here in Vol 04.  I hardly ever check out the non-Death stories.   Result!

Colin, thanks for listing out the stories in this arc.

As part of my efforts to catalogue all of the Judge Death stories, this is the next one I'll be mentioning on my site.  I've finally gotten past the 90s (which was the most prolific era but also the least good in my opinion)!

I entirely missed Half-Life until now.  This was the point of me doing the site, I want to read (and own) everything Judge Death related but had to maintain my own bibliography to do it.

Half-Life is a great story but because I'm not a fan of the wider 2000 AD universe as much, I would never have known where the Half-Life story goes but I think I'll check it out as I like the concept of it.  Hopefully they are all in the same Psi Files volume but I probably won't be that lucky!

Colin, I'm assuming you're local.  I work in Liverpool (for my sins).

I'm a woolie back (of Wirral kind) for my sins but have lived in Sheffield for the last 27 years... gulp

Ah right.  I grew up in London and moved to St Helens when I was 27.

Growing up listening to punk, goth and then metal this was definitely a guilty pleasure.

Crystal Waters - Gypsy Woman

To this day though I love those keyboard chords.

First single I bought was This is not a Love Song by Public Image Ltd.

Not sure what the first album was.  I remember being given a Siouxsie album in the mid 80s but first one I bought was probably a Cure album on cassette.
