Film & TV / Galaxy Quest TV show?
« on: 01 August, 2015, 02:50:06 PM »
Is Star Trek spoof Galaxy Quest to return as a TV series? The original writer appear to be penning the Pilot so 'By Grabthars Hammer... what a savings.' if true.

Looks like the re boot of The Crow is going to have a female antagonist. Maybe Ma Ma from Dredd influenced this.

Film & TV / X-Files returns!
« on: 25 March, 2015, 10:18:51 AM »
Is it true? According to the beeb it is. Can't see anything about this on the forum so if it's posted somewhere else then move it/destroy it mods.

Games / DOOM 4 reveal trailer?
« on: 11 June, 2014, 11:07:35 AM »
Is this Doom 4 ? No game play but certainly tantalizing for FPS fnas.

Games / New ALIEN game out late 1014.
« on: 08 January, 2014, 07:48:31 PM »
Bonkers. Looks like someone else is taking a crack at the ALIEN franchise this time it's survivalist /horror mode.

Certainly seem to have done their homework visual wise but is fighting just ONE Alien warrior using the environment rather than any weapons enough to get the punters to hand over their creds?

Books & Comics / The 're-imagining' of Lobo [ala Twighlight!]
« on: 27 August, 2013, 09:02:44 PM »
The Main Man LOBO is sadly set to be transformed into a sub Twighlight looking character despite the desperate attempt to say otherwise. Ah, well next generation and all that.

Film & TV / RoboCop re make
« on: 03 March, 2012, 05:30:53 PM »

According to this website this Guy is the new RoboCop. He's in The Killing one of those depressive Scandinavian TV program mes about how Scandinavians despite their wealth, welfare state, social tolerance like to occasionally murder each other. Just like the rest of the human race then.

Off Topic / Local legends
« on: 16 October, 2011, 11:39:09 AM »
Reading SBT's heroics in helping to rescue some unfortunate and inspired by his description of an 900 year old castle it got me thinking about history and local legends.

We have a local legend round hear that if you run round the Church 3 times at midnight, then look through the Keyhole in [I think] the West door you'll see the Devil! If he see's you your Damned!!

Any weird /scary/humorous local tales where your from?

Games / Thicky Boy and FARCRY2
« on: 30 July, 2011, 10:07:18 PM »
Un-FUCK -in-believable.

I reloaded FARCRY2 and the same prob came up so I wander into the other room -and discover a Medical cabinet I can open with the syrettes inside! Thicky boy was looking on the wrong room and wrong direction. Well pleased I forgot to get a refund since the time ran out on it.

I've managed to survive my first 'chore' literatly ran into the Militia guys and Mr HKG3  did the rest.

The long suffering people of Panuan in Just Cause 2 can rest easy for a while. The Maniac in Chief is heading for the heart of darkness instead...

Books & Comics / Wasted Issue 8 'Goodbye sweet Print...'
« on: 13 June, 2011, 09:22:12 PM »
Wasted Issue 8 has arrived with it's usual outrageous humour. [£4.75 iclu p&p]

Great Cover by Gibson Quarter though sadly it is for the last time as this is the final Print run version of the Comic though I believe it will return in Digital Form at some point in the future. Most of the story's are one or two pagers though there are longer tales of the pleasures and pains of drug taking.

Stand out strip is 'Vampire Vixens of the Wehrmarcht' lovingly painted by Alex Ronald . Gibson Quarters 'War on Drugs' is another great strip that you think would find a home in 2000A.D though perhaps there isn't room enough in one Comic for TWO Fascist Lawmen.

Not too everyones taste but the artwork and labour that went into this small press comic I hoped would find a bigger audience. Perhaps with the Digital version it just might and deservedly so.

My copy of 'Wasted' a 'humorous' comic magazine came today ejaculating filth all over my narrow minded view of the world.

Disgust followed outrage and outrage was followed by apoplexy so while I immediatly write to my MP, the Editor of the Daily Mail and his holiness Lord Beezelebub [All Hail to the Great One!] all I can say is:

Press the link for moral outrage. Only £4.25 [including p&p] for total degradation.

News / SCI FI now's Editorial on new Dredd film.
« on: 02 July, 2010, 09:23:17 PM »
Maybe someone's already covered this and I only read through the article briefly in the newsagents this morning.

SCI FI Now magazines Editor gave a pretty positive view of the new proposed Judge Dredd3d film but defended the old Stallone effort since >ahem< his Uncle had worked on the flick!

Nepotism, great work if you can get it.

Off Topic / England football teams dissapointing show.

What can you say?

If you can say it.

Say it here. :( :( :(

Games / HaloplusHalo3.
« on: 17 January, 2010, 09:33:38 PM »
Well I got my gaming 'rig' up and working. My Xbox is now attatched to my old Dell 9150 17 inch monitor plus I invested in a 60GB hardrive so I can play HALO3 without the disk drive churning away. Looks great. I put the resolution on 1200X720 and it seems to look good if a bit squashed on the screen.

I loaded up Halo-Combat Evolved on My vista Mesh PC and it works too and looks much better as I can crank the spec filters to the max. Ah my only regret is not being able to play FarCry on my Mesh but what the hell I'm in Halo heaven at the moment.
