That was The Americans by Al Ewing, in Meg 283.

At the end of the day I'd have to go with what Al said in this interview: Either continuity makes the story better, or makes the story worse. And if it makes the story worse, even by a fraction of a degree, you really don’t need to bring it up.

Then again I am still a massive nerd and will totally base an entire story around something mentioned in Prog 3 and not really brought up again.

Pretty excited for that one.

Is the Trans-Time Corporation from Flesh in Strontium Dogs future or it’s past?

If it’s more pages of comic you’re after the history of British comics is littered with examples of creator owned anthologies where everything just crawled to a halt and died. I’m not sure I’d want to say outright they are incompatible models but I’m having trouble thinking of counter examples.

That would be a bit weird if true. He gets a credit in the Judge Dredd one Mongoose did.

I get a nice "Kevin O'Neil does a bunch of random robots and monsters" vibe from the cover.

(if this truly bothers folks I'm sure Pye and me can retroactively claim them all as spaceport background characters for Intestinauts.)

We’re only a few years out from Origins.

Always weird when it has storys I think of (for possibly brain addled reasons) as “recent”.

Don't quote me on this but I seem to remember Constantine's bisexuality first being introduced by none other than John Smith; who wrote exactly one issue of Hellblazer in about 1992.  He wrote a very good Hellblazer too - would have loved to see him do a few more.

Hellbalzer #51 - Counting To Ten - The one mostly set at a launderette. It's a VERY good issue, worth hunting down.

The two main Dredd outings by Mills don’t have anything of what he claims to bring to the character. He’s pretty much a generic hero, a little stiff and stoic but not “fear and terror”.

He’s certainly a contributor to what Dredd became through his work in an editorial/managerial role on it, and if any 2000ad character could be  claimed to be a group effort* it’s certainly Dredd, but I’d always say Wagner and Ezquerra are the primary creators and deserve to be credited as such.

* a “house character”, as Mills has put it,  I guess.

Surprise number of 2000ad names in the “thanks” section. Rob Williams has a pretty long (and good) run on it  so that’s unsurprising, and apparently Wagner and Grant created Ratcatcher so that’s why they’re in there, not sure what Bolland and Gibbons did.

Is that a comic you're reading, citizen?

A collection of Ewing Dredds is extremely welcome. He's produced some some stone cold classics.

(especially as the blokes replacement suit seems able to move about and act independently)

Side by Side mode. There is an… umbilical.

On the multiverse they are one and the same.
