Film & TV / Re: Netflix?

I can understand that Prime, I was quite happy for a number of years with it, but few things seemed to go past a couple of series especially the stuff I like! And any new stuff isn't aimed at my demographic.
I've got to the stage where I trawl list after list on Netflix and see lots I like but have watched. I now find Prime at least has some new and slightly off beat stuff, and weirdly BBC iplayer has some gems tucked away on its more dusty shelves along with the occasional series they splash out on.

All of the above... I was really trying to like it, but as stated upthread, it doesn't even make dream logic status.

As a child I lived in fear of the Sea Devils, that's what living in Musselburgh will do for you! This series they  were about as scary as the donkey from Shrek.

Having read about Si's Torch, Wood and peasants, that warning should be in every 'writing for TV' course in the country!

I've been fairly tempted by D+ content, load of stuff I'd watch, didn't know you could share codes, must ask the bairns if they have it.

I'm seriously considering cancelling this, not watched anything for ages and only waiting on Bosch arriving, both sons saying the same. the price hike is the last straw, anyone else jumping ship?

Good luck Rich, hoping to have a bit of a clear out myself this year!

The Alienist. Hoping the Rennie, Beeby and Coveney collective can give us at least a concluding chapter (and hopefully plenty more!)

Storming Heaven

Two of the Progs greats together and anything to do with the Angel Gang is played out, even the Grennie droid has trouble breathing life into this franchise

I love the Regenes as an idea, I like the execution a lot of the time, though as with the Prog, its not always successful but it needs to continue as a way to attract new readership to replace us aging ol' relics, but beyond that to push the comic into new and interesting places. It improves the diversity in thrills, characters and creator and all in all is a massive positive.

In the real world I doubt the economics would justify it becoming its own thing, at least for now so I'd keep things as they are. In this fantasy world of a vote I'm happy to be able to forget all that and go

Yes, keep the regen prog but depending on economics make it is own publication

plus the WHSmith comment. Its great other comics have now ditched the plastic 'throw aways' from their covers in line with 2K ;-)

There's a couple of panels missing from the end of the story. Chopra walks into the next room where Dredd is standing with arms crossed.

"He buy it?" asks Dredd.

"He bought it, comrade," replies Chopra.

Its telling that I immediately could think of a couple of names about who the likely "owner" is who is unwilling to return the art.

FWIW, I'm told it's most definitely not the most obvious suspect.

He didn't mean you DDD! relax

cheap shot Jim.

A sketch he did for Dredd although he never had any published prog work:

wow what could have been...

Prog / Re: Prog 2279 - Past Crimes

Got to agree with the majority of this thread...the Dredd wasn't a game changer, or doesn't appear to be, 30 years later and its had no impact that we can see?

I thought there would have been more made of the Sov Dredd than a quick execution by sludge monster. And would a Dredd clone have been a loyal Sov? that interests me!

Hard to believe the Sovs would stop at one too.

The rest of the Prog is going great guns for me just now, next week off, then back to the action!!

-   I can remember the days when it was either 9¼-inch or 8½-inches...not to mention the Girth and Heft.

That sounds like a Grennie droid duo..
