Was there any sort of catalogue for this??

Interested to see what was on offer.

Cheers

No catalogue. Just a room with about twenty people in. I think there was eight pieces in all but I can only remember Old Dredd, New Dredd & Tharg by Henry Flint. DR & Quinch by Alan Davis, Slaine by Mike Collins, Rogue Trooper by Dave Gibbons and Nikolai Dante by John Burns.

Can't remember what sold for what. Wake got the
Old Dredd. I think the Nikolai Dante sold for £230, spoke to John Burns on the Sunday and he was a little disappointed it didn't sell for more, he had a reserve of £200 on it.

This is the banner outside that used the Old & New Dredd.http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k25/lisa_loppit/DreddBanner.jpg">

Couldn't find the Auction...which is a bit crap really.

I won this for £60. I would have gone to about £250 on the Dante Burns if I'd felt a bit more flush. I think that the Alan Davis and Dave Gibbons pages went for about £150 each, and the rest was fairly cheap.

The perspective on that chairs all wrong

...and I won Henry Flint's modern Dredd for a bargain £35.00 (great for me, terrible for the charity). I've been berating the organisers for years about how crap the auction is... The location, the standard of presentation... etc etc

I've always thought that e-bay would be a better way of going about it.  At a festival you have a limited audience, who have already spent a lot, and may not have a few hundred quid in their back pockets.

Some lovely stuff there mind, full respect to the artists involved.
