Putting the prog and meg front and center, just as it should be!

yipes !  I miss the old kooms skree page. Also now when boarders e-mail you, it comes through  Mr web-Bots ( excuse spelling ) e-mail so the only way to reply ( i assume ) is to find the boarders name and send-mail, I just trawled through 4000 + boarders names all beinging with the same letter of the alphabet so i could reply... whereas i could have just clicked 'new posts' as they'd posted recently, but i wasnt to know that.
Now this system protects privacy yes, but you know my e-mail is in the local paper and all over the web, so i don't care, I have my own methods of dealing with stalkers & freakoids. couldnt the privacy be optional? or is it? it was much easier on the ancient olde board.

am i just being thick ? I am quite old & fatigued, forgive me.

haha, woaaaa...yes I think the privacy is optional, or if it isn't it should be. Will double check!

Alfasaurus

Somebody please help! it's been 3 years since i moved to Australia and have never found a copy of 2000AD here - JD monthly yes but not the galaxy's greatest comic. is there a subscription service that delivers down under????

Try: http://www.clickwheel.net - it's not quiet the same as having physical copies, but it's a good option.

Not that i use it very much but the search facility within the website is 10 times better than it was previously on the old site.

Because i havent said it before and i dont think anyone else has the old messageboard was a work of genius in its simplicity and how it looked and it was really unlike any other messageboard or forum that i have ever seen since i have been online.

 Unique.

Alfasuarus, where abouts are you in Oz?  I'm in W.A. and have no problems getting it (in Kalgoorlie) its in several of the news agents here and regular (only ever a few copies though so if they can make sure they hold it for you), its also about 8 weeks behind the UK distribution.  I know the Perth Comic shops get it in Via air so its more up to date but also costs an extra couple of bucks.

barrettj

Hi all. My name is Jack but just call me barrettj. I am 14 and I live in Rochdale, near Manchester. To be honest I'm not a big 2000AD fan. My dad is a big fan and has been reading sine about prog 220. He has almost all progs since and still collects them to this date. He gets our local newsagents to hold the copies and collects 4 every month. He also has many specials and classics and things.

I recently was very bored and found a prog (somewhere near 1990, I was delited that it had all new story's in it) and read the next 6 or 7 progs or so. I got really into the story's, especially Judge Dredd and Nikolai Dante. Now I think I'm gonna carry on reading future progs and I have about 1350 comics that are in my dads draw to get through  :D . My dad recomended the 2000AD Classic sereis to read. I read a few storys already including one where Alpha dies and one where Mean Machine is experimented on by aliens. Oh, I've also read two Judge Dredd/Batman graphic novels, Judgement on Gotham and Vendetta in Gotham.

Well, nice to meet everyone. And keep the brilliant comics coming Tharg.

Welcome aboard new squaxx. You take it slow with the progs, don't overdo it.

My eldest started reading at 12, and if he gets to the envelope before I do it's not pretty!

Yikes! Where the heck do I start? This forums 'uge. I just started reading 2000ad a few days ago. (Bought a load of Progs in a local geek shop) Since about Saturday I've been buying them like mad on eBay so I decided to join the forum to help me get a foothold on the mountain that is 2000AD but now Im even more lost and confused than I was before I signed up.    Can anybody help me? And Hi!
