Still without prog 1714 here in the west of Cal-Hab.....AGAIN !

Oh waste of this topic, just to talk about prog not arrives, what about reviews! lol...

Proudhuff

Prog arrived!!  :D

Dredd: Not too sure about this a heavy handed anti-catholic tract, done with little humour, check out the name if you don't 'get it', is this the first time Grud has been linked to the christian cross? and sorry Si, I'm confused about that JD conversation at the end too, arts fine.

Six/dex skipped again not my bag of gruel

Furture shock nice one, kinda retro feel to the art and story liked this.

Slaine I'm sure this will tick all the boxes for a lots of people, but it leaves me cold.

Danbridge, this ends, and I feel neither here nor there about this, can't help but feel that Ranson(sp)from Luke Kirby would better suited to this and in B&W.

overall a disapointing  prog for me, how the Meg makes it thro' the snow and evens out this dip in Prog power.

Prog arrived yesterday, flicked through it for about 5 secs and PUT IT DOWN. Did loads of other usual evening stuff and didn't read it until I was in bed.

I agree with the Huff except normally I like Sin/Dex and that I didn't go a lot on the future shock either.

First time this has happened to me. Usually as soon as the prog hits the doormat on Saturday morning it is "Don't talk to Daddy for 20mins now children he won't hear you".

I am not normally negative about anything in the prog. Must be Thrill Suckers.

Cover: Nothing special, especially since the same sort of thing appears again in the actual Thrill.

Dredd:I thought this was pretty funny, and nice art too.

Sin Dex:
Really nice art, Charons reflection in the rear view mirror was a paticularly nice panel. Ended very abruptly, this probably should have made the ending more effective, but didn't work for me personally.

Future Shock:
Liked it, expecially the art. Nice and twisty, the best FS in a string of bad ones.

Slaine:
Don't care about this at all, Hy-Blood is pretty awesome though haha. The Locrih the Catious gag was not so funny this time 'round. Hope we get something really stand out for Prog 2011, as I would have prefered all new thrills aswell.

Dandrige: Another quikc resolution, but the aftermath/ set-up for next time around was quite effective. Steering the Zeitgiest was lame, but scewering it on Big Ben awesome, escpecially following it up with the press conference. As always I have my knit-picks regarding the plot, and dialogue but there are always some very nice character moments and gags. Even the talky pages were quite intresting to look at, so credit to both creators there.

Overall: Not bad, defintley a pallet cleanser for Prog 2011, which I'm really excited for. Although the bitterness of Slaine is still lingering...

Cheers,
Lee

No prog in the post this morning; but if it's arriving elsewhere then hopefully I might have it tomorrow or Friday. I think this probably the longest I've been progless since I started subscribing (bar the normal Christmas break). Bah!

I take a certain perverse pleasure that I got my prog the same day as you subscribers!

I'm pretty sure I can see Dirty Frank in the crowd shot at the bottom of page four of Dredd - nice touch. Except he's meant to be back in uniform now.

Except, when I drew it, he was still on the streets!

Got mine yesterday:
Dredd: I enjoyed this, not as much as 'The Beast in the Bay' a few weeks back, but a good story.
Future Shocks: Again, quite enjoyable, but the highlight of the past weeks for me has been 'Self Inflicted'.
Sin/Dex: It started off well, but, once the politics got into it, it lost me a little.
Slaine: I started off HATING Clint Langley's art in 'The Exorcist' but I'm enjoying it more in this story cause it's not as damn dark! However, this story seems rather pointless, not particularly doing it for me.
Dandridge: Being quite a new reader, I havn't read the other story(ies) featuring Dandridge, but having a loose idea of the back story, am finding it easy to get through, a little text-heavy in places perhaps, but ok

6/10 - Average Prog

Still no Prog. Got the Meg yesteday, but 2000 AD remains conspicuous by its absence.

And, indeed, that bit is a flashback to "months ago", so he probably was anyway. If you see what I mean.
