Hi... I'm SURE this one has come up before, but can any of you online-oldtimers quickly summarise for me the reason why the 'new' Lawgiver looks so crap?
I've been out of the 2000ad 'loop' for a number of years now, and I was, perhaps understandably(?) shocked when I saw the changes this marvelous weapon has gone through...
Now granted, the 'old' model was odd,(half a Victorian time-piece slapped on top of the gun's breech!) but the present model seems to be missing any of the former's character...
I can understand the need to develop the look of technology and I'm certainly not against a change per se, but why change Dredd's gun into something that resembles a tiny shoebox with a squeezy-bottle nozzle stuck to it?
