There that is :D All rules are here (https://2000ad.com/artcomp), do read them. Deadline is
31st May - good luck everyone!
Ed Doyle -- Strontium Dog
Ian Beadle -- Alpha
Jeffrey Brown -- Johnny Alpha Under Attack
Jeffrey Brown -- Johnny Alpha Eaten Alive
I like that, there is a nice energy to the composition.
Ray Witcher – Middenface
Ray Witcher - That is fantastic!
Walter Tarrasa – Memory of a Dog
That feels a bit different. Nice!
Paul Deej -- Durham Red
John Davison -- Strontium Dog
Some nice pieces here- the McNulty especially.
Gary O Donnell – Strontium Dog
Michael McDonnell -- Strontium Dog
Dan Watts -- Strontium Dog
That's a cracker!
Just a quick question for anyone who's submitted pieces for this or previous Art Stars comps - does it usually take long to come up on the 2000 AD Instagram/Facebook pages? I submitted something a week ago and it hasn't appeared. Am I supposed to do something else? Does everything that's submitted get posted..?
From my interactions with the sub-routine that runs the comp I would say that you just need to be patient.
Entries tend to be posted each day, unless 'real-life' happens and interrupts the sub-routine from functioning properly.
If I recall correctly there were loads of entries to the comp that didn't get shown on any of the social media till after the comp was done.
Ah right, OK. I'll sit tight.
It might not get posted until after the competition has finished. A large proportion of entries get posted in one dump after the winner has been announced.
I got my entry in for the last competition a month before the deadline and it didn't get posted pre the close. Similar in the first comp.
Yeah, there was a three or four week wait between my submitting my Judge Dredd entry and it finally appearing.
David Morley -- Strontium DogIf you look at the rules it does say:
"Due to the volume of entries, there is no guarantee an image will be shared on social media."
I do try to share everything but it does take time.
James Gray – Strontium Dog
Luke Haynes – Johnny Alpha
Ooh, I like that one. Nice and moody.
Chris Fretty – Strontium Dog
Sinclair Elliott – Johnny Alpha
Matt Clarke – Strontium Dog
Fernando Colego -- Strontium Dog
Walter Tarrasa – "Whooo Let the Strontium Out? WHO! WHO!"
Martin Baines – Strontium Dog
John Martin – Strontium Dog
Chris Skinner -- Durham Red
Boz -- Strontium Dog
Alfie Griffiths – Strontium Dog
Nic Fraser – Durham Red
Mathew Jackson – Strontium Dogs
Is it just me or is there something about Johnny's outfit that inspired all the bright, neon colour schemes. It looks great!
Paul Little – Red
Chris Fretty – Johnny Alpha
The Saloon Girl look is a bit genius as a look for Red as it ties in her original design, the Harrison version and the Wild West underpinnings of SD
Love the one by Martin Baines. Is that John Higgins in the background???
Daniel Watts – Strontium Dogs
Oh, yes! Chuffin' love that!
I like Daniel Watts action scene
Uwe De Witt – Strontium Dog Lost Soundtrack
That's a cool one. Creative.
Wonderful piece by Uwe De Witt, style is reminiscent of Sienkiewicz and SGM.
Great work by Uwe De Witt
Shane Boniface – Strontium Dog
De Witt's is my fav so far - imagine coming face to face with that Wulf 😳 (or that Red 😉)
I also like the atmospheric pic from Boniface - those eyes! Very piercing.
Ade Hughes – "Because I Hate You"
Michael McDonnell – Strontium Dog
Love Uwe's album cover. Nice composition on Ade's though, didn't catch it all in first glance! Also enjoying Matt Jackson's tribute to Carlos, the colouring on John Davidson's piece, and I think Paul Deej's gorily gothic Durham Red might be favourite so far.
Thanks for all your comments so far guys :)
Graham Young – Durham Red
It's a full moon :-[
Oh, cheeky!
Graham Young – Strontium Dog
Eli Foley – Strontium Dog
Foley gives good knux!
Lucas Orueta – Strontium Dog
Walter Tarrasa – StrontAttack
Ed Doyle -- The Gronk

Congrats Chris, an atmospheric and very technically accomplished piece of artwork.
Since my entry never did even make it to the Instagram page, I'll post it here for posterity...
