Books & Comics / Re: Small Press Suggestions

I know I bang on about this one a lot but that's because not enough of you read it!
Honestly, it's a belter. And so many small press legends have passed through the pages with many going onto be professional. The latest Kickstarter has only days left to run and this one is a good jumping on point for new readers with  two complete stories and part one of a new adventure for Captain Bulldog.
It's worth £3 of your groats!

With just a week to go on the current kickstarter, have you backed it yet?
Behind amazing covers by Mitzi and Mal Earl lies a new full length story for Danny Drisco, the dwarf detective, as he clowns around at the circus trying to solve a murder, all brought to life by Greg Meldrum and Scott Twells.
Spencer Nero also returns for a complete tale, teaming up with 1940s film star ... George Formby??!!! More Nazi punching shenanigans from the pen of Greg Meldrum and artist Dave Metcalfe-Carr.
Add in the first episode of a brand NEW adventure for Captain Winston Bulldog by his creator Jason Cobley with PARAGON newcomer Garry Wharton on art and it's a winning combination!
And if you'd like to own some original art there are still sketch card rewards available from both Filippo Roncone and Davey Candlish.
Don't miss out! Back the Kickstarter!

Peter Vaughan-Clarke, who played Stephen in the 70's Tomorrow People died this month and it seems to have sneaked under everybody's radar. He was 66.
I feel a re-watch coming on.

Quote from: The Legendary Shark on 05 March, 2023, 10:08:18 PMRooting through old files, I just found this pic of a concept sketch I did ages ago for Davey at Paragon. I was quite chuffed with it at the time...

"Bludd and Xandi have indeed made several appearances in Paragon"

And was pencilled by Tom Newell, inked by me with splash pages coloured by Karen Holloway. 2 out of 3 of them are now artdroids for Tharg!

The utterly splendid new issue is now up on Kickstarter for you to back and you don't want to miss out!

Our cover star is, of course, Spencer Nero by the regular team of
Greg Meldrum, Scott Twells and Filippo Roncone
as our hero fights Nazis in space in Moonreicher!

Another classic Bulldog from the pen of Jason Cobley in The Wall as he fends off Welsh terrorists (or freedom fighters - depends on your point of view!)

A Star Falls by HdE - if you like Carl Critchlow's Thrud the Barbarian you will love this!

Brahms & Liszt discover who is behind the murder of the Duke in Wotan Walks In Weimar by Greg Meldrum and Davey Candlish.
Find out who when you back the Kickstarter!
