Love both V For Vendetta and Essex County (which is by a margin Lemires best work imho).

Black Hammer I loved also until Dean Ormiston stopped on art duties (I have the first 2 OHC), then not so much and I dropped off.

Many thanks re confirming about Garth Ennis, good news. (He's definitely not on the list of guests on the lawlesscomiccon website which is where I was looking ?)

Does anyone know if Garth Ennis is going to Lawless this year? He's not on the list but I swear I read somewhere a few weeks ago that he was coming? Very possibly I was hallucinating. (I just don't want to cart some of his books along to hopefully be signed if he is not going to there).

Saw The Men They Couldn't Hang at the weekend on their 40th Anniversary tour. Still an excellent live band 👍🏼

BTW Fatale is coming out as a single issue softback Compendium collection at the end of July (656 pages of Brubaker/Phillips goodness for £36 via awesomebooks). Hope their other stuff will be released in a similar format :)

I'm going to Lawless for the first time this year (just the Saturday). Mainly hoping to get some sketches. I've only been to one other Con, NICE in Bedford last year. That was great but queued over 3 hours to get an Alan Davis sketch of the good Captain (not that I regret it of course, well worth it).

But are waits like that normal at Lawless as well ? If I want to get something from say Chris Weston or Pye Parr or Glenn Fabry, do I realistically need to just choose one to make a bee-line for and then wait it out ?? As I say, this will be my second show so don't know what's 'normal' is in terms of waiting times.

Wayne Kramer (MC5) - Kick Out the Jams, motherf*ckers

I read his autobiography a few years ago, he led an incredible life - he was the subject of the Clash's song 'The Prisoner'

Saw The Holdovers which was excellent - warm, funny and uplifting - the perfect antidote to January blues

Saw Poor Things by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite, The Lobster).
Completely nuts film with Emma Stone, Willem Defoe & Mark Ruffalo. I absolutely loved it but perhaps not for everyone.

Oh boy that guest list is amazing. I am going to go for the first time ever. My Xmas presents are all cash 💰 for sketches. Can't wait 😛

Saw How To Have Sex. Thought it was very good, but pretty disturbing too (as the father of two teenage girls).

Saw Napoleon. Really didn't like it. If it's not historically accurate then at least make it entertaining, but it's not even that. Dire.
