Very interesting idea and great first post (and second looking at the Trans Time one). Be interesting to see how big this gets as when you start to think about it there is a LOT of iconography in the thrills.

Count me in.

VOTING CLOSED

Oh this was closer than I thought, so much so that I was preparing my call and it was a tough one. Could I see past my love of the first Skizz, Jim Baikie art and how much I enjoy the other two books, all be it less than 1... I'm  not sure I would have been able to... In the end however I didn't need to make that final gut wrenching decision as Dash Decent, though he fell in the much more one sided tie finished today go some consolation as his final vote decided this and

Skizz

man it into Round 4, flipp' neck.

VOTING CLOSED

Well despite nobel support from Funt Solo and our very own Dash Decent there was going the thrill Dash Decent could do here and quick as you like

Meltdown Man

will be looking to throw another thrill in the vats in Round 4.

Seriously, why are they bothering with Samantha Slade at all? It's the worst thing to appear in the prog since Rebellion took over.

How quickly we forget Stalag 666!

Or Dead Man Walking!

I've said it before and I'll say it again I like Dead Man Walking. Don't listen to Bishop it's not like he has any to say on the matte...

...the want...

...writer you say...

...oh...

Well I still like it...

OHHHH let's hope this one does big numbers as this feels like the sort of end game the Regenes are after. Everything crossed for this one.

Oh wow I'd all but given up on this coming out. That's FANTASTIC news!

Space magic or sci-fi regene science  type stuff. Fudge it. They have for long enough.

Ohhh this one could swing on final day votes. I think I see one thrill just peaking ahead but I could well be wrong. Vote today and I'll reveal all tomorrow.

10
I'll be honest when I do the draw ties that haven't finished I entered into the draw as x vs y so I have a track of both possible winners. I didn't both here. Closes tomorrow morning.

Thought Durham Red would have put up more of a fight here. The strip has had some many rich and interesting interations, from classic Carlos and Alan Grant, Mark Harrison, then Mark Harrison and Dabnett himself and the recent hard western thrillers (my personal fav) but no. The power of a new Dabnett strip dominated here. Backed up with Rich Elson's muscular art

Feral and Foe

will be bickering into Round 4

Strontium Dog lays down a real marker. We love Absalom, its a brilliant strip, has time to grow into something a bit special, but is compact enough to remain an almost perfect story, beginning, middle and terrible, brilliant end. Strontium Dog is a different beast. A strip that roamed and spread and felt like it would be with us forever. Alas that was not the case but it too managed to get its own fitting ending. The fact that its been able to have this almost absolutely comprehensive victory over such a strong thrill is a warning shot to all. What thrill can stop it?

Strontium Dog

will be selecting cartridge (Round) 4

Think one thrill has really pulled away here, which is surprising as I thought it would be much closer than it appears to be but my eye scans have decieved me in the past and as such those last day votes might change things. I'll count up in the morning.

14
Well its not a whitewash but the result is in no doubt with a day to go. Still get those votes in so we know how strong the support for Strontium Dog is...

As straightforward as they come this one. Not much reflection just vote and vote for Defoe. Inspectre did get some support and certainly deserved to hold it own a little better maybe... be then I'm no fan of Defoe, but regardless of that fact

Defoe

will be firing shots of ball into Round 4
