Any questions, just ask as ever - and have FUN!
Oh and my 'More info' links... well I don't say how much more and they get pretty wonky at times!
The Killing for me.
Colin your link for The Killing take us to the ZX Spectrum Game. The Killing originally was published in prog 350-359. It was also published in the Agency Files Vol 2: https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/XB300 (https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/XB300)
The Killing slightly biased as the first SD story I ever read and remains one of my favourites.
Stone Killers
But this is a hard one!

And sometimes they are done for the just plain fun of it! Wait until you see some of the others!
Forbrydelsen....sorry not that one, rather The Killing.
Definitely The Killing for me. Stone Killers has it's moments but I think it loses it's way a bit with at the brewery nonsense. The Killing is classic Johnny and Wulf action with a great cast of lunatics.
Weapon of choice? Napalm Blister Blaster
Permitted additional weapon? Bigger Napalm Blister Blaster
The Killing - similar to moogie, this was the first complete Stront story I ever read (The Moses Quest Quest was the first one I read some of, but I missed progs so it was some time until I read the whole lot).
The Killing, no contest!
The Killing for me
Stone Killers is good, but does feel a bit like a strip past its peak, where it had hit absurdly dizzy highs and was therefore having to make do sitting in a stupor, having a bit of a come-down.
The Killing is in some ways a bit by-the-numbers, but it's really tightly written, with a great mix of action and absurdity that gets the balance just right. So: The Killing.
The Stone Killers has all the ingredients for a classic - Durham, Middenface, some distinct baddies, callbacks to the past with the legacy of the Stixes... but it just feels a bit tired and by-the-numbers. I'm not sure Grant's heart was really in if by this point.
So it's The Killing for me, an avowed classic.
The Killing.
The Killing though I did like the bad guys in Stone Killers.
The format has already lost me. Qualifiers? Thought we were on annuals and specials this week. Oh well, best just roll with it.

We are AND the first games in 4 other regions. Just rolling with it is a fine option but if you want to try to make head or tail (and Jez I just hope I can) there's a spreadsheet here...

No contest on this one
Th eKilling os primo Stront and a contender to go far.
Stone Killers is the story that gives truth ot the lie that late era Classic Stront is a downward Spiral that needed "rescuing" by Final Solution.
In the bin, Stone Killers, the Killing wins!
I quite liked Stone Killers- memorable enough stuff- a little more light-hearted (in a crescendo of drunken violence type way). But yeah, it's The Killing... so-
The Killing ftw.
I reread The Killing last night, and it's as good as I remembered. Classic stront, will be happy to see this go all the way. (Already voted upthread)
The Killing for me - first Strong I read in the prog.
The Killing
City of ... The Killing.
The Killing is awesome, I love the whole deathmatch / last man standing on Zed idea, it could have gone on twice as long and I would have been entertained with each match-up. Carlos draws many fantastic aliens, mutants and robots, and that Epilogue is extremely satisfying!
I do like a lot of Carlos character designs in Stone Killers too. Both great stories.
Well we're getting towards the end of this one. Any votes are welcome today and I'll count up in the morning first thing and we'll have the first results in qualifying.
My vote then - well it matches most folks I guess Stone Killers is a prime of latter day classic period (huh!?!) Strontium Dog for me. Its fine, but feels like the strip had lost its way a little. The Killing is absolutely prime Stont and a delight and therefore the clear winner.
The Killing
The Killing for me too. Really stuck in my mind as a great story ever since I was a kid!
VOTING CLOSED
Well the match-up will get closer! But here it was another storming and clear victory and even the solid defense of The Stone Killers wasn't able to provide any defence and The Killing... well made a killing.
Stone Killers 1 : The Killing 19
The Killing 3 18
Slavers of Drule 3 17
Galaxy Killers 0 -17
Stone Killers 0 -18
