On Saturday 9th March Garth Ennis will be holding a free online Q&A for this exhibition where he will discuss the landscape of British War comics in the seventies and their decline in the eighties, and describes how writers re-invigorate classic characters for contemporary audiences.

Time Breakers: a five-issue series published in 1997 by Helix (an imprint of DC Comics) written by Rachel Pollack and illustrated by Chris Weston is being collected for the first time in English & crowdfunded via the site Zoop.

Angela Attenborough is a young, bored housewife of the 1950s... but her life is about to change beyond her wildest dreams! She's about to be recruited by a future version of herself to a secret society of time-travellers known as The Time Breakers. Comprised of members drawn from the past, present and future, The Time Breakers are dedicated to the creation of time paradoxes, which they believe are instrumental to the creation of life itself. Their efforts bring them into a deadly conflict with The Knowers, a rival time-travelling cult who zealousy resist all forms of meddling in historical events.

We could have the Souther's done as the cast of Dad's Army and Ian Lavender could still play Private Pike and Daisy Ridley could be a female version of Private  Godfrey as she is his great grand daughter

I would like it to like the GFD Rogue either starting with the Quartz massacre and then Rogue helping Southers until he finds out about the Traitor General

I remember when Crisis came out & like most people went to get it as it was from 2000AD only to find out that some of the characters in 3WW were loosely based on people I knew from the pub who were friends with Pat Mills' daughter

Events / Free Comic Book Day 2024
26 January, 2024, 09:31:42 AM
Looking at the list for this year there are some interesting ones including Asterix Olympic Special but interestingly there seems to be no 2000AD/Rebellion title shown. Have they decided not to do one this year or is it not being promoted yet like the DC ones

I'm sure this is just a coincidence but in the US Rico stands for the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act of 1970 but it does seem apt
