I've been looking for a visual ref for the exterior of the Academy Of Law, or at least something more recent than it's first appearence in case files 1 (you know, the story where the first Giant graduates).

I don't have many progs to hand ATM so a digital photograph or quick scan would be much appreciated.

   This may be helpful but its a bit vague and i need to go back and have a look to be certain.I remember a judge Dredd episode that fell between 1980 and 1981 that had a scene with Judge dredd with his back to us walking up some steps to the entrance of the Academy of Law.It was the main scene on the page and i think it was drawn by Brian Bolland.It wasnt a colour scene either.It didnt show the whole building either.

In The Mega-Rackets (progs 209-223) there is an episode where Dredd visits the Academy to get advice from a tutor, and I think there is a small picture of the Academy. There is probably one in "So you want to be a judge?" around progs 521 or 522. Maybe someone can look them up and scan them.

Theres the blood Cadets stuff that was meant for the Dredd fortnightly that ended up in the back of a special somewhere - Gibson art...

The Blood Cadets intro is in the 1986 Sci-Fi, it's only one page and doesn't really show an exterior, just a kid's head being shaved and a tutor.

  the scene i had in mind isnt the picture shown.I went and had a look through some old progs but it was proving to be a bit of a sod to find.There was also a scene in the prog that showed all the cadets in  a lecture hall being tutored.[the tutor had one arm].They were all bald i remember.I am sure this is in the same prog as the scene i mentioned before.As i am just going on photographic memory Judge Dredd may have been walking up to the Hall of Justice and i may be way off the mark.

'Course the Academy of Law was reduced to rubble during the Apocalypse War ( we see Dredd and McGruder strolling through the ruins in Mekka-City, IIRC), and we haven't seen the outside since (unless there's an exterior shot in the original Bloodlines story?), so I suppose it can look like anything you want.
