Well if Week 1 broke you into what Round 3 could be like Week 2 will show you its extremes with possibly the tie of the Round coming in (though there is one later that possibly tops even this). Eyes will be blinding, hair will be torn out before this week is over...
Bit of a cool down from yesterday... very interesting one mind. Strontium DogS (DOGS, with an 'S' the 'S' is very important) pulled off another shock (well to me at least) in Round 2, toppling Tharg's 3rillers, did not see that coming. Counterfeit Girl hasn't much form so far, only having faced Brit-Cit Babes and brushed them aside BUT it has form elsewhere having won Broodbliks Sideshow vote for the best none Bad Company Milligan story and that's no mean feit (see what I did there, do ya) at all.

Just reply in this thread naming your favourite thrill of these two series at the beginning of your post (or use Bold tags so I can spot it easily) and say what you like about these wonderful stories after that.
Match ends early on the morning of Sunday 22st May and the winner gets a place in Round 4 (of 9!!!).
What on Earth is ALL of this? (https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=48011.0)
For those that need 'um and can be bothered to follow 'um there's some simple rules (https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=48011.msg1070150#msg1070150)
Any questions, just ask as ever - and have FUN
Counterfeit Girl
Strontium Dogs.
Not a fan of either, so a tough choice.
Strontium Dogs.
Have just read the Hachette collection of the Ennis stuff, and I have to say Nigel Dobbyn's art really was brilliant, far better than I remembered. Steve Pugh's work I did remember as being great, and it still is.

Strontium Dogs!
Counterfeit Girl had some interesting ideas and a unique look. Maybe I'll change my mind once the final vol of Strontium Dogs turns up in the UC but Dogs just feels like a pale imitation of it's parent strip so far.

Yes it's certainly that. It's amazing that something set in the same world, with the same premise can be so...let's say...different.
But you know- no Wagner or Grant and no Carlos.

It's the loss of Wagner, I think. Even the last few Stront stories proper - like Stone Killers and Royal Affair - are a bit meh, and yet they've got Grant and Ezquerra attached.
Really enjoyed Counterfeit Girl and we don't get enough Rufus in the prog!
Oh grud, what a choice. My all-time worst 2000AD strip versus one from the bottom tier.
Strontium Dogs. Because it isn't Counterfeit Girl.
SBT
Strontium Dogs, for Monsters.
Strontium Dogs I guess but I'd skip both of them no probs.
Strontium dogs
Strontium Dogs. I'd take (almost) anything from the world of SD!
Early Strontium Dogs was pretty good, despite its flaws. But once Ennis left it was shit. So overall, it's not better than Countrrfeit Girl, which was a decent strip.
Monsters was good. The Gronk heartses story was lovely. Some of Hogan's work was quite nice. But then you had the nadir of the rest of the Gronk thing (not least that scene in the Lyran 'caves') and the kind of meandering nature of where things ended up, abruptly ended in guillotine fashion. Do I want to read it again? Probably not.
Counterfeit Girl had some zing and spark. I bought it in the fire sale for two quid. I'll read it again, although I'll admit I had to check to see that I had in fact bought it. Not the most ringing endorsement, admittedly, but it beats the dogs, for me.
The design of Bullmoose Saxon's ship was more interesting than the entirety of Counterfeit Girl.

Cheers
Was not expecting this one to go like this. The winner looks pretty clear and its very different to what I was expecting and by a margin that surprises me even more! Day to go and I'll close the week off in the morning.
I'm going with Conterfeit Girl. It was a present TPB for me from the kids the other year and a very well chose one too!
VOTING CLOSED
If the other vote was a none event today this one was the opposite. This tie was really close and for me a real surprise, especially as Counterfiet Girl won the 'None Bad Company, Milligan vote' a real sign of the quality of the series. Strontium Dog is how a strip that ebbed and flowed across its history, or arguably spiralled ever downwards. Monsters was a good start and clearly strong enough as
Strontium Dogs
will be transforming in Round 4
