We've DONE IT - the final week of Round 1 - well done. You've earnt a break after all this work ... so to respect that there's one less vote this week. Just the 7 - I know I'm as generous as Tharg. If things are going to plan I might keep momentum up and BLAST straight into Round 2... enjoy the break!

A Sonic the Comic reader long before I was a squaxx, I was really excited that Nigel Kitching was joining the Good Ship Tharg, and reunited with his old StC compatriot Richard Elson, no less. But A.H.A.B was merely... okay.

So I'm voting Bato Loco on this one, which was never less than darn good fun.

Sorry to break the pattern here, but I'm voting Bato Loco. It's very silly, but an enjoyable silly. AHAB is merely OK, and didn't improve even after I actually read Moby Dick and got more of the references.
(Moby Dick is really good, btdubs)

I agree AHAB was only ok. But so was Bato Loco. Another strip where the concept was better than the actual execution.

So I'm going for AHAB.

These two have been trading blows pretty much one for one and it looks immediately very close indeed. Last minute votes today will decide this one before I count up on the morning.
