Does anyone know when the Megazine comes out?

I ask as I’ve just been down to WHSmith and they seem to have the next issue, but I’ve not received my subscription copy yet and there is no thread for it in the review section yet.

Supposed to be next week but going by what I'm seeing online, it seems to have got into shops a bit early.

I got this issue but I'm still waiting on 2260. Sent Rebellion a message last week but haven't heard back yet.

The rather brilliant 1977 Ghost Story for Christmas episode STIGMA is on Iplayer after being rebroadcast last week on BBC 4.
Probably the best the annual anthology ever got and probably one of the most inexplicably upsetting horror stories ever made for TV. Exactly the type of creepy seasonal viewing I feel is missing from the Christmas listings each year right now.

Except for the new Ghost Story for Christmas episode this year, the one in 2019 and the one in 2018?*

Thanks for bringing my attention to the Stigma repeat, though. Didn't know it was on.

*(Also 'new' episodes in 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2013 for those keeping count.)

Talking of which, the aforementioned Regened issue featured a dog urinating on someone and then referring to him as a "jobby wheeker". Which seems a wee bit punk rock to me.

I took the response of a couple of folk here as a mildly irreverent, defense of the comic and certainly nothing remotely approaching "laying into someone" or "bullying".

I mean, getting called "old" can't really be much of an insult when the folk saying it are the exact same demographic.

I also grew up around guns* and wouldn't expect an actor, someone who spends their working day immersed in fiction and special effects, someone who pretends to do all kinds of things from the most mundane to the impossible, someone who is surrounded by people whose job it is to do everything for them that doesn't involve acting, people whose job it is to make sure everything is comfortable and safe for them so they don't have to worry about anything but pretending convincingly, to be held accountable for eff all when handed something and told it's safe.

Because the actor potentially hasn't grown up around guns. Anyone handing a gun to an actor should always assume that the actor is an ignorant moron.

* I haven't actually fired one since I was a child, (and that's not a joke).

Who can say why he's in distress as opposed to datdress.

Now you mention it though, he does look like the combined upstairs ornamentation of my late grandmother's residence circa 1986, (Charlie Chaplin figurine outside toilet, fancy bog-roll wumman inside).

But how do you call a guy in distress? Dane in distress?

Dude in distress.

Nobody going to mention the fact that the baby in Scarlet Traces has the same name as the main protagonist of one of Ian Edginton's other stories?

All that "time is evil" stuff has me half expecting Sapphire and Steel to turn up at any moment.

I'm pretty sure it's only Scooter's healing ability that doesn't work anymore.

Could I safely take you never heard for alchemists?

I have most certainly heard of alchemists and while there's certainly some crossover in the witches' and alchemists' methods, they're not the same thing and the two words are not synonymous.

First recorded use of the word "alchemist" - 15th century.
First recorded use of the word "witch" - 9th century.

I have right to pick up what I dislike, that definitely isn't going to be a witch. Which, I am sure existed then, but weren't called witches.

You are incorrect, (again).
