aah, one of the best threads ever (http://forums.2000adonline.com/index.php?topic=23629.0), so many banned boarders *nostalgic sigh*

Although it seems those excerpts from The Straightener have disappeared from the internet, Jobo is still spouting shite on his blog:

QuoteZeeraclluzegj

A bell rings once and its echo remains until Zeeraclluzegj is fixed and calling forth Zqelxoix to bind the edges and close further interference by portal streams. A great calm follows and magnificent feelings manifest; sight, sound, smell, touch, taste, and hearing becoming as one.

Sentients begin the filling process and the orgasm begins. Entering through funnels, the billions flow until Balzxejacht is reached and the funnels collapse to leave the final and ultimate destination ahead - a single point in a void. A call so strong and yet so gentle. An enticing, bewitching silence, that pulls that which can only be drawn. Onward, as all becomes quiet and peaceful. Onward as all emotion is relinquished and dissipated in the wake of the traveller. Onward as all knowledge is relinquished and dissipated in the wake of the traveller. Onward as the point is reached and the traveller is relinquished and dissipated in the wake of the truth, which holds no truth; the truth which holds no fear; the truth which holds nothing but nothing itself and gives itself up to the experience of the knowing of the Xexolian vortex and its gift of nothing.

And Django Zoon: The Straightener apparently has a new sub-title: "Top time and space bastard" (I kid you not). Doesn't seem to have been picked up by any actual publishers though...

Bloody hell. I missed that thread the first time round.

See the bit where Bouwel wished Robin Williams was dead?  You're sick, Bouwel, sick.  You killed Robin Williams.  Why did you kill Robin Williams?  Nobody should write anything on the internet ever.

It also becomes clear towards the end that there a lot of deleted posts in the thread, rather spoiling the flow of the bile.

I still can't believe I actually read the whole first chapter of that drivel. And it's about me!

Blimey, I thought this thread would be just a stupid waste of time, but it turns out I DO need something straightened - I have an A3 block of paper which weirdly wasn't cut straight in the factory - it's ever so slightly off. If you could come round and straighten it that would be awesome.

It must've been optioned for a franchise at this stage - at least it's still available from Amazon:

I'm just absolutely flabbergasted that someone thought THIS was a good place to advertise a porno novel. I'd be hard pressed to find a more immature group of collective 40 something year old's outside of Facebook!

Heh, that's a good read. He has written another novel, not featuring Mr Django Zoom... Wolf Cries Man. Which has an interesting synopsis, quoted and given my emphasis and slight grammatical adjustment to avoid WALL OF TEXT (because you don't want to miss some of the stuff in here):

QuoteThe writing for Wolf cries man started out in 1999 and the book in 2003, but the content has always been with me in one form or another. A separate piece of work entitled, a unique reality was merged with it in 2010.

A work that has developed over the years, Wolf cries man began its life as a few pages of scribbling, moving on to automatic writing and later to the product of thoughts derived from and linked to other levels of consciousness that are not remote or running alongside other levels, but are actually just one level with many levels running at a single point of observation that can be accessed at the same point of observation using thought energy, which literally means: Every level is happening now and there is no travelling involved. Wolf cries man was, is, and will forever be an observation.

As a child, I thought that God was external to me. As I grew, I questioned God existence. I asked: "If God is the ultimate creator then what created God?" The searching began and it was only after my total understanding and knowing of my solipsism, I came to know that I was the ultimate creator of my experience and I was the God I was searching for.

Sometimes, it's hard to see the wood for the trees - the searching ended and I became free. What once was a form of expression to the others I deemed as separate from me when Wolf Cries Man was born and developed, has turned into something that is simply Me, I, Us, We, God, creating the writers and the readers and the players and the actors with an ultimate goal of keeping the creator busy in observation and so, if I were to summarise Wolf Cries Man into a single sentence it would be: Wolf Cries Man is merely Jibber Jabber in a lonely God's game of hide-and-seek for one.

Wow, there's some crazy-shit threads floating around in the bowels of the forum isn't there. Wonder what else is lurking....

Not sure if I've come across this before, but it has a familiar ring to it - Roger's quips may have been re-used for other threads, the OP seems identical to every other 'colourful' newbie that somehow finds this forum every few years or so, and this particular post made me chuckle....

He discovered Twitter, which seems to suit his stream-of-consciousness randomness more. He's racked up over 87,000 tweets in five years, which works out to one every thirty minutes, every single hour of every single day. You'll be unsurprised to learn that he's pro-Trump.

aw, he was okay. He was on the original Hell-Trek to Inverness for Hi-Ex 2010 and we had a great time. He did have, shall we say, one or two anger management issues (not at the con but generally from his posts).

IIRC he was banned when he proposed continuing an online argument in a more, umm,  physical manner at the next con.

Actually it may have been Jim that he was arguing with, now I come to think about it!

Yeah, 'Roger' was always a complete gent in any off-forum interactions I had with him.  I know his abrasive online affectations annoyed many here, but personally I loved his nihilist saboteur schtick.  And the Wolf has some bizarre politics-which-are-not-mine, but he was always a very decent bloke at heart.  And a Bellardinelli fan of his magnitude gets all sorts of free passes from me.

Not so much scary as implacable. Like those old fashioned slow zombies.
