General / Re: Forthcoming Thrills - 2020

I get the impression last year that Regened wasn’t necessarily planned to be a normal Prog (although that may well be wrong). Scheduling must be nightmarish for Tharg regardless, but I would hope with four of these rocking up in 2020 that he’s going to deal with long-running series prior to each breakpoint.

Was there not an issue with the FCBD that led to Regened being slotted in as a one-off special prog? Or am I conflating a previous issue Rebellion had with the FCBD with it?

That was the case as far as I'm aware - which is why the FCBD was reprint from the IPC humour comics.

Cheers, I'd seen the first one and knew they'd de-Trekked it - there's a trailer for part 2, but seems to have disappeared otherwise.

Yeah, that's the guy who has been running the Axanar show, Alec Peters. The smirk seems to sum up everything about the whole thing.

It was never meant to be a series, but a feature - it's not going to be that either, although there has been ducking and diving like having someone else use the sets to shoot another short called interlude to Axanar.

My constituency (Wimbledon) is one of those seats that the LibDems are heavily pushing the 'only we can beat the Tories' line.

They've finished third in past elections - 14% of the vote last time.

I expect Hammond will retain his seat.

Neil's got Johnson on tomorrow. The poor twat must be absolutely shitting himself.

Tough interrogation on policy or fucking around with scones... hmm.

Listened to the first one, and wasn't to my taste.

And when some respond that they've never heard of this organisation.

The Hindu Council UK and the Sikh Federation UK have their say...

I wasn't expecting that! With a suitably 90s britsoft pic of the lads, to boot. I'm glad Rebellion have got it, but I hope they do something with it!

What would you like to see come back, if they're snapping up neglected British videogame IP? I'd kill for a modern Cannon Fodder myself! I'd also ask Rockstar if they're arsed about Body Harvest..

God yes, even I had one of those kind of photoshoots...

Hopefully not replicated to get the Dredd TV series going.

Didn’t Bircham redo a bunch of things for the reprint, or am I misremembering?

Clint Langley redid some bits of his Slaine work - maybe that's what you're thinking of?

IIRC Dredd did have a chest eagle as a result of Mutant/City of the Damned shenanigans at the end of 'In the year 2120' but that never appeared again (in much the same way Alpha's Bubba tattoo did)

It doesn't really make much sense to have a tattoo in case they want to go undercover anyway.

Depends what they've got coming out I suppose.

There's the 12 issue US anthology, but that's not just Dredd, and more of a sustained push throughout the year rather than an event to build around like this year's Small House release.

Machine Law is March 2020, but I guess the preference would be to make it around the same time as this year.

Not sure when the Pin/Chris Weston collection is due out.

I expect it could be something broader since it will be 20 years of Rebellion owning 2000 AD.

I had a quick look through case files and couldn't find any examples...

I'm sure it's appeared on shoulders outside of LOTF, but I couldn't say where...
