Sat 25th - D'israeli and I at Gosh Comics, London (there'll be an exclusive bookplate with the Gosh copies)
Sat 1 Nov - FP Bristol, where I'll be joined by Ben Oliver and Si Gurr, who are fellow Bristol peeps. Both did pinups for the Ordinary GN.

No, Frank was never intended to be in Titan.

I'm wary of falling into the 'creator justifying his story' trap here. The work should speak for itself.

But what i will say is the Titan of the title is Dredd, moreso than the moon. Early on, there's a line about a man, even a great man, having limitations, that some missions are simply impossible. Even for Dredd. That's at the core of the story.

Forgive the shameless pimping, but myself and Simon Coleby (with an alternate cover by Brian Bolland) have THE ROYALS: MASTERS OF WAR coming from Vertigo soon. And we're all of the 2000AD parish so I thought it might be of interest.

Noooooooo the curse of Ten Seconders strikes again. Now I don't dislike Ben Willsher's art, but I'm not as big a fan as many seem to be. So when I open my Prog, already a little downhearted as the current line-up is one of the weakest I can remember for some time, to see the one standout strip running at the moment has lost the simply magnificent Edmund Bagwell my heart just sank...

... yes yes I know I should read the thing before making judgments but I needed to rant and my wife, nor my 4 year old have any interest in my moaning it would seem (I bet Sid my 2 year old would listen... but he's sleeping the wuss)

A hardback collection of Ordinary is down for a February release from Titan Comics

The Ordinary collection won't be out February. Should be wrapping it up in the Meg about then. The plan then is to print it as a mini-series with Titan and then a GN, so that listing seems a little ambitious.

The cover's a hologram-thingy, so that from some angles it's Dirty Frank in Dredd's visor and from others it's Jack Point.

Hi all, I've written a bit about Ordinary on my blog, and also showed a wee sneak peak at D'israeli's art from it:

Story should live/die on its own merits without further explanation, but the reason Dredd shoots the lift cable is the big bloody monster coming in to eat him. The lift fall takes them away from that enormous mouth.

Now, would the monster disappear if Dredd shoots Salas? Probably. But when something that huge & freaky is looming down on you...
