The only downside to Fox getting married is that it breaks the dream that the pair of you would get it together... mind that might have been like when Maddie Hayes and David Addison (was it) got it together on Moonlighting - it'd be all downhill from there, so guess I should be grateful.

I always appreciate a Moonlighting reference but will somewhat confirm with Conrad: Bromance! Until that moment in a somewhat final season when the tension between Conrad and I are released in an ancient ritual that results in the final seal being broken and the next age begins. Or just a normal smooch. Conrad, I'm up for whatever.

Also, though I didn't mention it in an upcoming podcast, I was in Heathrow for work for a day. Flew in, then back to Berlin after a meeting in the airport. So, if you were in Heathrow on the 22nd, from 10:00 to 11:00, and then in the bowels of the sofitel for 7 hours, and then late o'clock the same day, and heard a rather loud man that sounded like your podcast that was me.

The only reason I mention is I hadn't been there since I was 13 (20ish years ago) and I like what you've done with the place. Though, as Jay Foreman explains, locals really enjoy it and absolutely no one has opinions about it. Grand work!

I was at a  music festival at the weekend and one of the DJs kept using the air-horn sound effect - everyone around me thought I was off my head (well I was) because I kept cracking up every time he used it - he was laying down some serious tunes, but all I could think of was "Oh no, the humans are the monsters after all! Bambambam! The aliens are really tiny! Bambambam!"

Between a different american and a british person in my week:

I think he's referring to something quite British (& Irish) that probably hasn't flagged up too strongly in the US.  Graham Linehan was a much-loved comedy writer who has, in recent years, seemingly become obsessed with anti-transgender activism through the medium of his Twitter account*, to the extent that the police had occasion to have a little word in his shell-like.

Anyway: it's rather small beer compared to things in the US - where the President and Vice-President (rather than a relatively well known comedy writer) are in cahoots to try to stop their embassies from flying the rainbow flag (and other things that would stop gay people from being ... allowed ... to be).  Still, the embassies tend to respond well to such demands, so there's hope yet:

One of the things that keeps me going is comments like this. I love that, once we get somewhere special to anyone, it's meaningful.

This is truly a cover that made an impact on me and shows a change (again for myself) about the comic's maturation. It just keeps growing and bringing in new talent while being so evocative. McCarthy did a lot of work with Sooner and Later and it defines it more so (for me) than the writing. This kind of work exemplifies someone's craft.

Another great podcast and just how lovely is that Fox! Gushing about the 2000ad community (nice to see he's avoided some places!) and seems genuinly surprised how well he and Conrad have been recieved, apparently oblivous to the fact that if you do something great you tend to get a good reception!

Late to the party! I really appreciate all the love you give Colin. I skulk a lot on the forums but you folks give us such a warm reception.

Also, Eamonn, mate, you're a star to talk to. I'll always sign up again for such a great cast!

I love a good cocktail. Berlin is strangely short of quality mixing ingredients and specialty mixers. My dream was to make a Blockmania, which I imagine is absinthe, mixed with almost anything that makes the drink more tolerable. That's a lot of experimenting with wormwood I just didn't want to do.
