Watch any show on the CW right now - that's what this will be like.  The powers angle will just be a pretext for characters to lie to each other's faces and thus set up final scenes where soft rock plays over a young woman crying about something - usually a breakup over trust issues.
The CW has a lot of genre programming right now, but they don't stray too far from the basic template.
