I strayed out of the IDW part of Previews yesterday and stumbled across this little item. I mentioned it yesterday on social media and decided to do a search for a better picture this morning and was a wee bit taken aback by how many sites had it.
Anyway, here's the calendar that many of us will probably end up with for next year

I saw a few bits pop up on facebook the other day, as people were talking about this becoming real. Today on the Starburst email they confirm that it is in development.

Earlier this year saw rumours surface of a GALAXY QUEST remake. Now it appears that the property is indeed to be brought back to screens, although they will be of the small variety. Yes, Paramount is looking to move forward with a GALAXY QUEST TV series.

Writer of the original film Robert Gordon will be working on the script for the show, as well as also serving as executive producer with Dean Parisot and Mark Johnson, the original film's director and producer, respectively

I doubt they'd be able to afford all the stars getting back together for this but you never know. I'm sure the creators could work around it, they could say it's the Next Generation

[2000 AD signing]

Due to there being a 2000 AD signing at the FCBD event at the Forbidden Planet in Shaftesbury Avenue, we've decided to have a mini meet up, as it's later than usual. it's on the 2nd of May and at 15:00 or 12:00 if you want to arrive for the earlier signing.

The signing is at 15:00 and the creators at this are Mike McMahon, Ben Willsher, Henry Flint, Matt Smith & Pye Parr. After everyone has had their goodies and stuff signed it'll be over to The Crown and Anchor in Neal Street, for a tipple or two.

If people want top turn up earlier, at 12:00, then Al Ewing & Rob Williams are signing Dr Who stuff.

Sam Slade is coming on the 30th of April from 3A and closely followed by other retailers in May!

The figure is fully articulated and comes with his trademark blaster and computer companion QT attached to his belt. The figure will retail at $50 and this includes worldwide shipping!

[2000 AD]

The Forbidden Planet in Shaftsbury Avenue (London) is having a 2000 AD signing on FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

3:00 to 4:00 - 2000AD Droids: A zarjaz line up of talent comes together to sign the FREE 2000AD sampler. Editor and writer Matt Smith is joined by artists Pye Parr and Ben Willsher - plus a rare London appearance by legendary Judge Dredd artist Mike McMahon.

Also, earlier in the day...

12:00 to 1:00 - Doctor Who Comics: Two brilliant writers, Al Ewing, and Rob Williams will be signing the FREE Titan Comics Doctor Who comics - featuring the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors - as well as the new Doctor Who Graphic Novel, Afterlife. Also the fantastic Cavan Scott will be on hand to sign copies of the brand new series of comics featuring the adventures of the Ninth Doctor!

This came to light on the web the other day and seeing as there's no mention of it here anywhere, I thought I'd better post it up.

[LSCC]

Slight change to our normal gathering this time!

Seeing as LSCC is on around the date that we would've had our gathering, it was mooted to combine the two. This doesn't mean that you have to go to the convention, far from it. This means that Dredd/2000 AD fans who go to these can also meet up with the forum members who don't.

As per the norm, the event is now up on our facebook page and has a drinking start time of 17:00 on Saturday the 14th of March in The Fox. This is just outside the actual Excel centre and where everyone goes afterwards, so it'll be crammed later. Obviously you can start drinking earlier but I put that time up as us nutters who will be on patrol will be binning it around then and getting cleaned up before wandering across.

[The Intense Art of Simon Bisley]

Simon called today to pass on his best wishes for a Happy Christmas and is looking forward to seeing you guys at the various shows that he will be attending in the new year.
He also dropped some bombshell news that I can reveal exclusively to all of you loyal Biz fans. Next year Simon is starting work on a brand new, 60 page story for 2000AD, featuring none other than Joe Pineapples from The ABC Warriors! This is a return to the coolest character that Simon made his own in his comic's debut back in '88. Simon is currently working out the details with the great Pat Mills, who is returning for script duties, the artwork will be fully painted and a real labour of love.

That's very exciting news indeed

[25th May]

The Lawgiver convention has a sequel in 2015.

On the 25th May (Bank Holiday Monday) at the Hilton Double Tree Hotel in Bristol, the second Lawgiver event will take place.

More news will be forthcoming and already some guests have confirmed, (you'll have to wait a little longer to know who) as behind the scenes the team are busy sorting numerous things out. One thing you can guarantee, it's gonna be all Dredd, so keep that date free!

[Future Shock Documentary]

The screening for the Future Shock Documentary is on the 28th of October at 20:15 and as there are a lot of fans on here and on facebook going. Some of us have had a chat to see where would be a decent, close pub to meet up at before the showing.

This pub has been chosen The Mulberry Bush which as you can see is right next door to the evenings entertainment.

That's about it really and anyone that's there early save a seat for me, as I intend to be there around 16:00

He's also drawn several covers for Judge Dredd Magazine and the cover for this year's 2000AD annual.

Paul Davidson is an acclaimed artist who has worked on both sides of the Atlantic, his art has appeared in X-Club, X-Men Legacy, Age of X, 2000 AD, and the Judge Dredd Megazine.

This just popped up on my Amazon list and this Christmas is gonna be an exceptional one with all the Dredd items coming but this is gonna be so hard to not look at before it's wrapped up and placed under the tree.

Starting 1982 the national newspaper The Daily Star ran a Judge Dredd comic strip written by John Wagner and Alan Grant and illustrated by Ron Smith. It has never been collected in its entirety before. This is a landmark collection.

Gotta put up a Mega Thanks to all those who are involved with searching for those missing pages, which seemed to be hidden all over. From reading the other thread it went right down to the wire with people searching everywhere and asking the whole planet at times. You should all feel proud of helping make this happen.

Nothing is known about this, apart from it being 1:4 scale and that it's pending approval

[Grinning Demon]

This is the local comic con, which luckily for me, is actually in my town!

Graham, who runs the Grinning Demon, has now settled on the event being in the Royal Star Arcade, which is a pleasant, small, glass roofed shopping area of the town! His shop has now moved into this location, so it is perfect all round

There is a facebook page, so you can see who the guests are such things but I know that many do not frequent such areas of the web. So here is the basic info that may interest some here, who are local

Family friendly comic convention in the centre of Maidstone, Kent. With the new venue, Royal Star Arcade, proving to be a massive hit, this Demoncon promises to be the best yet, with more artists & writers and a number of big names. Amazingly talented guests, vendors, bar, cafe and cosplay, what more could you ask for. Our last event had a Transformers theme with regards special guests, this time we're focussing on 2000ad

The guests that have been announced at the moment are as follows:-

Those are the current 2000 AD lot but I know that some others are being approached, as I type!

There should also be quite a large Judge patrol in the area
