Yeah, if my wallet is any judge it'll be Marvel. But that s largely due to Spidey, Daredevil, the FF, Thor and latterly Conan.

However, I'm constantly pissed off with the standard and presentation of modern comics, and if you want to know who I think is putting out the *best* titles on a regular basis, that'd be Aftershock and Cinebook.

So I'm going to say Cinebook so it has two votes.

To echo what has already been said, Tribal Memories is an underrated classic and one that should regularly be used to show the lie in the claim that 2000AD is all 'big stern men in helmets with guns'. But Meltdown Man was so completely joyous for each week of that year it ran, that it is almost as deeply embedded in my personal idea of the prog's DNA as Nemesis, Slaine, Dredd or Rogue Trooper.

I really must flag up ENDANGERED #1, by Blood Moon Comics- and say that this really should have found a home in the prog. Post-apocalypse attempt to repopulate the Earth, buggered by the presence of giant insects. It's well-produced, nicely written, beautifully drawn, and has a strong 2000AD vibe.

Absolutely worth picking up, even more so if you've been finding a hole in your monthly science fiction comic reading since Letter 44 ended.

Dredd isn't my main draw for 2000AD, in fact it's not even in my top ten thrills, but it is mostly at least readable (even if recent Regeneds and End of Days stretched that definition somewhat).

I used to think I'd always keep reading the prog no matter what, since I've come this far- but I've come to realise that was based on not being able to imagine Pat Mills walking away from it in his lifetime, with the vague idea I'd re-evaluate when he goes to the big Burning Man Festival In The Sky.

Now Pat has moved on to pastures new, I've decided to carry on all the while Dan Abnett is on the books. Were Abnett to move on, and therefore even a prog with five misses and no hits was read without the sure knowledge next week might be better, I may jump ship. 

So, for the purposes of this question: one good strip is all I need.
