Thinking about the old progs, got to thinking about old artists. Did I read correctly that Bellardinelli was dead?! God I hope not. His style may not suit 2000 at the moment but his passing would still deserve some comment from Tharg.

Also, has anybody a currnt activity list for:

Chris Weston (Killing time, Canon Fodder)
or
Mike White (Abelard Snazz, Mean Arena)

Be nice to hear what some old artists are up to.

Belardinelli is believed to be dead, but this hasn't been confirmed which is why Tharg hasn't paid tribute to him.

Chris Weston's web site can be found at: http://www.chrisweston.co.uk/

He's currently drawing The Filth and later aims to finish off The Ministy Of Space.

"He's currently drawing The Filth and later aims to finish off The Ministy Of Space."

And both come with the Mighty Fish Seal of Approval.

Especially Min of Space - it's great.
Hopefully they'll bring out a collected edition of all three, given the delays in getting part three out.

Can any droids who know Belardinelli, editorial or otherwise confirm his death please?

If not, why is it that the comic for which he did so much quality work seeems uninterested in him now?

An artist of his caliber, who has done so much for 2000ad should either still be working for 2000ad, or at least recieve the tribute that he so deserves.

IIRC there were a number of back cover images by him of the characters that he'd drawn, (around the time that Moonrunners saw print) was that the last work he did for 2000ad? Were these back cover images his tribute?
Cheers
