>>>it will disolve into chaos and dictatorship. there is a much greater chance of dictatorships turning into stable democracies (Spain, Russia, Chile, etc.) >>>

What! excuse me! Chile was a democracy, and as has now been offically confirmed by the US govt, it was undermined by the CIA backed coup to get rid of the democratically elected President.

(Ditto many central Americian countries)

Spain was a democracy, but the west stood by as Nazi Germany and Il Duce attacked the people of Spain.

The Americains backed Saddam for many years as a balwark against Iran, at the time few westerners worried about democracy in Iraq then, much like Saudi Arabia just now.

The Americans have 'intervened' in over 70 countries since 1945 mostly to destablise and or change govt to ones that will tow their line.

I suggest a reading of some of John Pilger's books many help balance your ideas

Wouldn't the sight of our glorious boys bombing and gassing civilians be too much for some?
Would Cam and Pat get on workwise?
how would we avoid Pat drifting off topic? as in my option, Pat like most artists does best when he has something to push against.

In Pat's wonderful intro to Charlies War he states that he wanted to continue with the story with Charlies' brother progress in the RAF, including the bombing /gassing Kurds in the 30's (somethings dont change eh?)

Do you think there would be a home for that story in either the meg or the 2K?

I'd love it myself especially with Cam Kennedy on the artwork, oh and the controversy, sure to push up sales...

Who would live in a strip like this?
Let look at the evidence...

The British Army getting pished in the foreground, how lovingly is that Sgt looking at the officer? and squaddies chatting up the local cross-dresser in the background along with a squaddie negotiating with a man with a chicken on his shoulder, what is going on? Is it the class system in a nutshell? Pat Mills would love this...

Its all a bit macho round here, next you'll all (except Bou) will be saying wimmin shouldn't buy rounds and be kept out the clubhouse and have to wear skirts to work ;)

My partner first met me when I was sleeping over the Jukebox in 'The Tap' after an afyternoon's donder round the happy hours of Edinbra. So she knew what she was letting herself in for, even if she doesn't indulge much herself.
on the other hand some female colleagues fi the Post Office could, and have, drank me under the table.

The morale of that tale is( wise oldeman voice) 'Never a coo calfed a cuddy', or as my fayther would say ' Never mitre when you can scribe'.
