Wow!
Not just that it was done but the way it was done with no spoilers or leaks.

Yeah, was just thinking that.  Apologies to non subscribers, but not having a clue that was going to happen was fantastic.

That was ace.  Clever.  Very clever.  Bravo Mighty One.

Really good prog.  Not a duffer anywhere at the moment.

When's Wagner's next Dredd story?

And (presuming of course Cold Deck isn't going to be) would any writer other than Wagner be allowed to write a 20+ part continuity altering mega epic?

Hi mate, just wondering - hows the condition of Case Files 14? I've been meaning to buy it for a while, if its good, then i'll take it off your hands!

Having bought loads of stuff from blixab, I can safely say buy with confidence.

You get a much less interesting comic.

Is that the first piece of 2000AD memorabilia that's visible from space?

When the mystery man says about the fish "ah, but that wasn't in the official history was it?", has made me wonder if he actually has appeared before, but will be some flashback based revelation

Brass Sun

Not a lot happens for me. A girl gets chased. And why did the bridge break?

Wasn't it because her grandfather exploded when he was burnt at the stake last week?  There was a panel with him saying something like "come on, I mixed it right" and then exploding as the flames licked up. I'm assuming he drank some liquid explosive in order to destroy the bridge.  Or something.

Good prog (except Twisted Tales for me. Sorry.  I've tried, but now I think I just don't like them).  Got to be the first time Hershey has been written with a good meaty bit of character isn't it?  Anyway, loved it and being drawn by Flint is never going to hurt.  Good stuff.

General / Re: Dredd Jock Mondo posters - Joke

I see one of the ebay sellers had 4 to sell.  That's a bit off if Mondo allow more than one per customer.

All arseing day I had mondos feed on refresh, and they were listed and gone in the time it took me to walk from the car park to the changing room when I took my son swimming.

How much were mondo charging for them?  There's something like 20 available on ebay.  That's quite a hefty percentage of the print run.

It certainly reads like a pre Day of Chaos story, except from Dredd saying a couple of times about having more important things to do, and another panel where Judge Maitland talks about busting someone for cannibalism.

I did of course mean Nick Dyer on art earlier, not Blythe.

Cover - Ezquerra, Durham Red.

Dredd - That's it.  Day of Chaos is over.  New one parter from Al Ewing and Nick Blythe.  Don't know about anyone else but I thought the epilogue was going to go on for a bit longer.  Feels a bit weird not having it.

Durham Red - Final part.  Lovely art, but the story has just been a bit so-so in this, for me

3rillers - Really liking this.  Story and art working together really well.  Really intriguing alternate world.

Ichabod - Not entirely sure what's going on, but enjoying it.  I do really like the narrative style of it, and Reardon's art is lovely to look at.

Dante - Lovely hints of Vlad's back story.  Next weeks is the final ever part!  Noooooo!

Prog / Re: Prog 1789 And he was a killer

I wasn't expecting that in this weeks Dredd. To have a near year long build up and then Chaos Day itself only last 2 progs was a complete curve ball.   I can't quite decide if it was genius, or if I feel slightly cheated out of a few more weeks top notch grimness like the last 3 episodes. ("Dammit John, I wanted more!")

Either way, it was excellently done and I've got to agree with what most had said about the 2 contrasting uses of kids to really make personal and humanise the sheer horror of the whole thing.  The panels of Dredd - a man used to daily violence from his very earliest age - appalled by what he sees, plus the hunched shoulders of last weeks final panel (which reminded me a bit of the final part of Dark Knight, where Bruce Wayne sags momentarily under the weight of it all when he thinks no ones looking) packed years worth of character development into just a couple of pages.  Shocking and brilliant.  It's a masterclass from Wagner and Flint.

The really exciting thing is where does it all go from here?  Literally anything could happen now.  I just really hope Wagner will still be part of the team deciding.

The rest of the prog is all good.  On any other week Dante would be the best thing by miles, or I'd be waxing lyrical about the art or the interesting concept in this weeks 3riller, but really Dredd towers over everything.  This prog's like the Barcelona squad, it doesn't matter how good the rest is, Messi/Dredd is still just miles better.  Or something.
