When I phoned Direct Line to cancel my policy renewal they offered to look again at my premium but I told them not to bother, because I didn't want to spend any longer on the phone and just taking the Norwich Union offer, having already purchased it, was less hassle than having to cancel it if Direct Line's revised offer turned out to be better.
